An exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts from Orissa is being held at Lodge Ananda, Jagadamba Commercial Complex at Jagadamba junction.
The exhibition is being jointly organised by `Maitree', a leading NGO in Keonjhar district of Orissa and the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, with the objective of preservation and promotion of crafts and artisans.
The articles for sale at the exhibition include stone carving works, terracotta, pata chitra, wooden carvings, appliqué works, art textile, paper mache and stone untensils. The visitors can also see the artisans at work making stone carvings, paper mache and appliqué works.
The exhibition, which opened on December 26, will be on until January 4.
