Geared for commercial printers and trade binders, the IM-30 inserts up to three independent sheets into booklets at up to 4,000 per hour, from bins with 4.9´´ of capacity, minimizing reloads. EPG's  KeyColor C system provides digital control of fountain ink keys from a central ink desk to speed makeready and reduce waste. Combined with AutoSet presetting software, the system utilizes data from an imagesetter or CTP system to preset all ink keys. Fujifilm's C-fit Image Intelligence software automates the analysis, optimization and conversion of digital images from RGB into print-ready CMYK. C-fit is a hot folder-based image and color server that processes large quantities of digital images with minimal user intervention. It trains the software to view pictures the way that people do, recognizing and adjusting for image types (faces, indoor/outdoor scenes, etc.) and memory colors that are important to the way a picture looks. Besides its primary image enhancement and conversion functions, C-fit also analyzes and converts images in a PDF document so that entire pages can be optimized for particular printing conditions or standards. www.fujifilmgs.com



Toyo Ink America introduces NNK Doctor Blades. Baked flat, not in coil form, to prevent curling, and then cooled to achieve a hardness of (Hv) 900-1,000, the SepaCera Sharp doctor blade edges reportedly offer sharp, even contact with the cylinder surface and reduce the risk of blade streaking, chattering, hazing and fogging. This special baking process provides improved dispersion of an increased amount of ceramic powder, and the width of the ceramic plating (not the thickness) has been reduced in half to 0.89´´. According to the company, the SepaCera Sharp doctor blades last several times longer than other doctor blades. www.toyoink.com



Punch Graphix Americas' Xeikon 6000 digital color press delivers more than 160 letter-size ppm and a duty cycle of 3.7 million ppm. The Xeikon 6000 handles paper stock from 27-lb. text to 122-lb. cover and runs a wide array of substrates, including paperboard. Being webfed, it has format flexibility running substrate widths up to 20´´ and unlimited, flexible image length. In addition, it prints on both sides of the substrate in a single pass.
