Dancing With the Stars: “The winner, winner chicken dinner of my heart!”
Now THAT’S the way to put on a results show. I actually enjoyed this one! There was a lot of dancing by the pros, a good musical act, Julianne was back in a big way and even the fillers of couples’ sessions with Dr. Drew and an analysis of the dancers as athletes were interesting.
AND the right couple went home.
I have a check-up today at the clinic and I’m pressed for time so I’m going to condense this and make it short and sweet.
WHO WENT HOME:
After torturing us by making us think Cody might be sent packing, it was Maurice and Cheryl who are finished. Cheryl said that Maurice worked very hard and even though he didn’t win he would always be, “The winner, winner chicken dinner of my heart!”
Ain't that sweet? 
WHEN SIBLINGS DANCE:
Lacey danced with her brother to Brad Paisley’s song, “Ticks.” It was really energetic and frantic. I felt like it was a bit out-of-control but it was okay. I’m sure some people loved it and others hated it. I was neutral.
BUT, the Macy’s dance tonight was performed by pros picked by the fans and the fans picked Derek & Julianne. If you watch nothing else from last night, their dance was amazing. It was everything Lacey was trying for but couldn’t quite pull off. Check out abc.com or try youtube if you missed this.
WHEN PROS DANCE:
Brad Paisley performed a new song while six pros danced including Edyta, Karina, Maks and Alec. It was wonderful to see the pros so involved in the show. I wish they’d do this every week. And the girls were nearly naked making Frodo very happy.
RECAP:
To show a recap after ABC has just blown an hour of programming with a one hour repeat of the previous episode is just cruel.
BRAD PAISLEY:
Fantastic as always but then I’m a fan.
DR. DREW
Derek was told not to insult Brooke but was also told that bullying was alright (you had to see it to understand that.) But it was young Cody, dissolving in tears next to Julianne that went straight to the heart. He had been worried about her and he credited her with making him a better person. They both cried and when they came back to the live show, the Trio of Annoyance were sniveling as were the dancers backstage and poor Sam…SPEAKING OF WHOM…
SAMANTHA, DARLING, FIRE YOUR COSTUMER!
My word, what was that thing hanging on that beautiful woman? It hurt my eyes!!! And the tangled collection of beads around her neck was almost as scary as Julie Chen’s Cleopatra Collection! I’m not kidding. Whoever made that test pattern nightmare of a dress should be institutionalized or sent to Dr. Phil or something!
THE FINAL FOUR:
I like them all. I would actually be fine with anyone winning. Except Lance. I just don’t want to see him win and I think it’s because of Lacey. It’s not fair of me and I know it. I honestly want to see the best dancer win and right now I think that’s Brooke but I’m not counting any of the others out over these last few weeks.
AND THAT’S ALL FOLKS:
There are many things I’d rather do than go for an annual exam. I’ve had enough of doctors poking around on me this year but OH WELL!

Great Recap! About the only thing I really paid attention to was the dance by Julianne and Derek and that was great. I was busy doing paperwork so I was only half paying attention to the rest. I will watch it again this weekend.
I was surprised that Maurice went home because I checked the poll on this site yesterday and he was ranked number 1.
I'm glad it wasn't Cody that left. I can't wait to see how he does next week with Julianne back.

And good luck at the Doctor today! I hate going to the Doctor. I'd rather go to the dentist (although, I only have 5 teeth left now so that's not bad now anyway).

Vickie Jean my pet,
Hope the doctor visit is painless. Oh man, I have had MRI's and heart exams and a virtual colonoscopy and an actual colonoscopy and enough blood drawn to fill a bathtub.....just this year.....so I'm like a VETERAN. Keep us posted.

Hi Vickie Jean:
I hope your doctor's appointment goes well today. I had my flu shot this morning and so I'm a bit rocky now. I'm with you. I've had enough with the doctors' appointments, tests, prodding, poking, surgery, pills, etc. I just visited my neighbor who's in a nursing home now. She's not doing too well. So, it puts things into perspective. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be keeping your nephew in my prayers. I pray that he returns from Iraq safe and sound.
I was only able to watch bits and pieces of the show. I do, however, have it taped. Julianne and Derek were amazing. If I tried to dance on a piano, first of all, I would need a few folks to help me get on top of it. Then the poor thing would collapse, due to my weight and I would fall off and break my neck. I also love seeing Edyta and Alec dancing together. They are soooooooooooooo sensual. 
Lacey's a good dancer. It's just some of the camera-mugging gets to be a bit much. And yes, Benjie is Lacey's older brother.
And what stoned person dressed Samantha? And is she able to refuse wearing something that she feels is butt-ugly and ridiculous? I agree. The Julie Chen’s Cleopatra Collection was way over-the-top. I remember Janis Joplin wearing a dress like that, in the 60's!
The right person was sent home. Maurice did as much as he could. I have a feeling that Cody will be given the boot next week. I know they tell us our vote counts, but sometimes I don't think that's true. I think that whatever couples the judges and producers want in the Finals is who will end up in the Finals.
Vickie Jean, get some rest tonight. I can't wait to read your Survivor blog Friday. Don't forget, Top Chef starts tonight. The best reality, cooking-competition show, ever!

Hi Vickie Jean. Hope your checkup goes well. Had a 9AM with the eye Dr in Manhattan and drove in and was back home by 11:30 BUT knocked me out and finally eye dialiation is OK for me to get online and read your blog (was a bit scared driving but remembered my shades).
Kept flipping channels hoping to see who was voted out before watching my tape and DID and was glad it was Warren. Sorry for him (and according to AOL Cheryl had some nasty digs at the other dancers in her parting shot - didn't see it since videos don't work too well on my antiquated computer - it's http://television.aol.com/tvtop5/dashed-off-dancer-dancing-with-the-stars/2318437?icid=200100397x1213259057x1200835411 really surprised me to hear she'd say anything nasty.
Couldn't believe Samantha's dress - first thing I noticed and I screamed U-G-L-Y at the TV set!!
LOVED Julienne & Derek dancing together and man the girl is HEALED! Was hoping Cody would stay on not only because I want to see him with Julienne again (Edyta did a GREAT JOB with him) BUT because I really like the kid and I'm glad he's in the semi finals - ditto Lance but I'm ready for him to go because Lacey is still bugging me!! The dance with her brother was energetic and wild and I guess if I likekd her I would have thought it was good. Paisley? Fantastic, and having the dancers backing him up wow wow wow.
Did you know Entertainment Tonight (no it's the first part of that show) is having a contest to WIN A DATE WITH MAKS? Seems he's looking for the right gal and they're sending VIDEOS. Think that's a riot.
Thought Brooke's eyelashes were much too much - how'd she keep her eyes open? and that's the first negative thing I've said about my girl.
Will be interesting next week and scary too because there's no telling what's going to happen.

Hi Reality, All done with the yearly physical and I'm still alive! Thanks! Derek & Julianne were amazing. I noticed the Maurice seemed to score high on other fan sites too. The one in trouble looked like Lance. Cody is usually toward the top too. I was really relieved!
Hi Zia, Thanks! Wow, you and me! We need to stay away from the MDs. For me it's been a scope to remove 20 something gallstones and then a gallbladder removal the old, horrifying way, not the neat suck it out through a hose way. Everything went well! Headed to your blog in a sec. Running late today.
Hi Lady, Thanks! Dang! Flu shot! I KNEW there was something I needed to ask for while I was at the base hospital. I'll blame it on age and move on! LOL! Thank you for the prayers. My sister-in-law is sooooo worried. She's barely relaxed from his last tour. Me, you and Zia need to cool it with the doctors for awhile but like you said, there are other people worse off than us! Poor Sam. Good grief. Maybe she was told it was young, hip and cutting edge and like me wouldn't know the difference but that outfit...Lacey does mug for the camera. I wonder if that's why she gets on my nerves? I will definitely be watching Top Chef. Won't have time to blog on it this time around with the holidays coming up and what I'm already doing but I will be watching. I LOVED the last one. I'm afraid we'll lose Cody too...but if he and Julianne pull off something spectacular and another couple stumbles...Have a wonderful day!!!
Hi Dorjean, Thanks! Yeah, they do that to my eyes once a year. can't see a thing for hours when they finish! LOL! Cheryl! I think she's got a chip on her shoulder over all the comments on her weight. There may have been some made in private that we don't know about and she was taking shots. Sam. Needs a new dresser. Now. LOVE Cody. Hope he gets to hang around a bit more. Maks needs a woman. You'd think he could find one from the collection around him! LOL! Yeah, the exam went well. No more for a year for that! YEA!!!! Have a great day!!! (I knew who you meant!)

Hi All! Great blog -- I'm a frequent reader!
But I have a question for everyone that doesn't care for Lacey. It seems like most of you don't care for her because she mugs for the camera a lot. While I'm not saying I agree or disagree, I find that Derek is mugging much more lately (which I'm finding obnoxious). So is it really the mugging that everyone hates or something else?

Great blog Vickie!
I missed some of the show, so i will have to go to ABC to check it out. Always love seeing Derek and Julianne dancing together, except in the sensual dances, which are still spectacular, but creepy!
Glad Cody didn't go, he is getting really good.... but then I thought Maurice was improving a lot too.
I loved Warren at the beginning... but I haven't been very impressed the last couple weeks... hopefully he steps it up some.
Hi hokiefan. For me personally, I don't think it is the camera mugging that turns me off from Lacey, but just her general attitude, the 'I'm better than everybody' vibe I get, and definitely the arguing and thumbing her nose at the judges.
And I'm with you... Derek is driving me insane with his constantly jumping in to the camera.

Good morning, Vickie! Good for you for getting your annual checkup! It's not fun, but I always just think it's worth it if it can save my life. I'm supposed to schedule a colonoscopy though, and I haven't done that yet!
It was a fun show, wasn't it? I was absolutely blown away by those Hough kids. To say they can dance is putting it mildly. It was fabulous! I enjoyed Lacey and her brother too, although I do think they could have taken it back just a half click. It was a bit manic!
I hate that anyone else has to go now, but Maurice wasn't one of my very top favorites so I was at least glad of that. I would like both Hough's to make it to the finals, but I think maybe Warren will make it over Cody. I think it's Derek's turn to have a shot at the title anyway!

Hi Vickie,
A new season of Top Chef starts tonight at 10 on Bravo, and followed immediately by a replay so you can record either showing to watch later. They also tend to reair each ep the following week before the new one. If you like Hell's Kitchen and Next Food Network Star, you really ought to watch this as it is the best food based reality competition show going. By far.

Dr's visits.... boo.. I get to go strain my eyes at the optomitrist (that the right one?) where he can tell me that even though I can't read those stupid bottom lines, my prescription will stay the same. sigh.. then i get to go home with an eye strain headache. yay me! lol
My girlfriend and I tried to figure out who mugged more: Benji or Lacey?? lol LACEY!! But they did do well, I always enjoy watching Benji dance. (he won the 2nd season of so you think you can dance, and their cousin, Heidi was on it with him).
I was pretty ticked that I watched most of the first hour only to realize that it wasn't the elimination and that there was another hour!!
So I barely watched anything of that.. lol
I will have to click that youtube link when i get home and watch Derek and Julianne dance (you tube is blocked at work).
Hey Hokiefan! Shel pretty much answered your question there! lol I actually liked Lacey on so you think you can dance, so I am pretty disapointed with her on this show. But yes derek as been mugging lots too!! it needs to stop!

I've been complaining the past few weeks about Derek mugging - think it's been so juvenile - and I LIKE HIM. With Lacey for me it isn't the mugging but as someone else said the holier than thou attitude and that she likes herself so much it leaves very little room for anyone else to feel the same. Her smart mouth answers to the judges leaves me cold as well. Overshadows any talent she shows in her dancing and choreography!
