Assistant Athletic Trainer

Steve Condon is in his third season in Philadelphia as the club's assistant athletic trainer. The 55-year-old Condon had previously served as a training camp assistant under head athletic trainer Rick Burkholder from 2000-05.
 
Condon was the head athletic trainer of the Milwaukee Bucks from 2003-04. Prior to his tenure in Milwaukee, Condon served as the head athletic trainer at Marquette from 2001-02 and as the head basketball trainer and travel coordinator for Iowa State from 1999-2001. Condon worked for two conference title winners at Iowa State while garnering one conference title and a final four appearance at Marquette.
 
From 1985-95, Condon served as the head basketball trainer at the University of Arizona. During that tenure, Arizona captured seven PAC 10 conference titles and earned two trips to the Final Four (1988 and 1994). While there, Burkholder worked as a graduate assistant trainer and as an assistant athletic trainer under Condon.
 
Condon also has experience with basketball athletic training with the USA Basketball (1986, 1988, and 1991), the L.A. Summer Pro League (1992), the Desert Classic (1993-95) and four NBA Chicago pre-draft camps.
 
He was the assistant football and head baseball trainer at the University of Iowa from 1981-85. Prior to that, he worked as the assistant football and head wrestling and baseball trainer at West Point from 1978-81.

From 1995-99, Condon worked for Athletico Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy in Chicago, IL.
 
A native of Iowa City, Iowa (born 6/17/52), Condon graduated with a bachelor's degree in health education from Northwest Missouri State University, and a master's degree in physical education from the University of Iowa. He is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
