John Spytek is in his fifth season as a member of the Eagles player personnel department and his third as a college/pro scout. The 28-year-old Spytek previously served as a college scouting assistant in 2006 and as a pro personnel intern in 2005. In 2004, Spytek interned with the Detroit Lions football operations department.
 
Spytek earned an undergraduate degree in general studies in 2003 and a master's degree in sports management in 2004 from Michigan, where he was a three-time letter winner as a linebacker (2000-2002), posting 37 tackles. He was a member of their Big Ten championship squad in 2000 and earned academic All-Big Ten honors in 2000 and 2002. He was a teammate of current Eagles WR Jason Avant.
 
A native of Pewaukee, WI, and a graduate of Waukesha Catholic Memorial HS, John (born 8/8/80) and his wife, Kristen, currently reside in Philadelphia, PA.
