Louis Riddick joined the Eagles player personnel department in 2008 after a seven-year stint with the Washington Redskins, where he served three years as their director of pro personnel and four seasons as a pro scout.

In his role, the 39-year-old Riddick is responsible for evaluating players in the professional ranks, advance scouting of upcoming opponents, and preparing the team for acquisitions through free agency and the waiver wire. He also contributes to the process of scouting players for the draft.

Prior to joining the Redskins in 2001, Riddick enjoyed a seven-year career in the NFL as a safety, amassing 172 tackles and two sacks. He joined the league as a ninth-round selection of San Francisco in 1991 and went on to play for Atlanta, Cleveland and Oakland, where he finished his playing career in 1998.

Riddick was awarded an athletic scholarship and provost academic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a four-year letter winner (1987-90). As a scholar athlete, he was named academic All-America in his junior and senior seasons, in addition to earning All-Big East honors and being voted by his teammates as captain for his senior season. He graduated in 1991 with a degree in economics.

Born in Quakertown, PA, on 3/15/69, Riddick was a USA Today, Parade and Bally All-American at both running back and safety at Pennridge High School. Louis and his wife, Debbie, and have three daughters, Lauren, Lindsay, Leanne.
