All Eyes On Browns And A Must-Win Game

No letdowns. No slow start. No mental mistakes, penalties, dropped passes, missed tackles, or any of the tell-tale signs that a team is not mentally focused on a football game. The Eagles can't afford to look past the Browns tonight, so the challenge here is seeing if this team can come back from its outstanding performance in New York and take care of business at home.

We all know the scenario: The Eagles need to win all three of their remaining games and get some help to reach the post-season. They have had a good week of work and they know that the Browns, despite a 4-9 record, are capable of winning this football game. The Browns force turnovers on defense. They have good skill-position players on offense, and they have a line that can mash in the running game.

Certainly, though, the Browns are lacking. They are down to their third-string quarterback, Ken Dorsey. They have a bunch of injuries -- already, running back Jerome Harrison, a valuable weapon on third down, is out -- and may be without some key players. The Browns are going through a crisis of a season, which makes it all the more important for the Eagles to seize control of this game from the very start.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the Eagles react. The whole playoff picture changes by the minute -- suddenly, the Falcons are going into Minnesota on Sunday to play the red-hot Vikings, and the Bucs have some injury concerns with a still-alive Chargers team coming to town on Sunday -- but what the Eagles have to concern themselves with is what they can control. They can beat Cleveland. They have to beat Cleveland. And this is one of the ways this game can go ...

BE AGGRESSIVE ON OFFENSE

What do we know about the Browns on defense? They play a 3-4 and they have a nose tackle in Shaun Rogers who can be absolutely dominating or be ineffective. The Eagles need to establish the run and push the Browns around a little bit, force them to play an eighth man in the box and then attack the secondary. Cleveland has a good, active group of linebackers. The Browns pick off a bunch of passes.

But the Eagles are going to have chances to make plays. I look for the Eagles to come out and try to push the ball down the field a little bit early on. Run early and then go to play-action passing and try to gash a defense that gives up a lot of big plays. Donovan McNabb has to be smart and not force throws -- no turnovers, please -- but I think he is going to have time to set up and throw and find some open options. The Browns do not rush the passer well at all.

The run game needs to be effective giving Brian Westbrook some room on the stretch run to the sidelines. Make Rogers move laterally. He can blow up an inside running game. Let's see if he has the stamina to go sideline to sideline.

I believe that if the Eagles execute properly, they will have the opportunity to score big points. The key is how the Eagles start the game. They came out and scored right away against Arizona. Last week, they established the line of scrimmage early. Tonight? Be smart, be aggressive and play ball.

Look early at Jon Runyan, who didn't practice all week. He is listed as questionable, but it seems unlikely that the iron man will miss this game. Winston Justice has to be ready if Runyan isn't able to function at a high level, or if he can't play the whole game.

GO AFTER DORSEY ON DEFENSE

I don't see any sense sitting back on Cleveland's offense, which has been anemic the last few weeks after a superb 2007 season. Dorsey needs to be harrassed and forced into making bad throws. He's going to toss some up for grabs and the Eagles have to make those plays. I think the Eagles have a superior situation with their run defense, so the key is to force Dorsey into third-and-long situations and then get after him.

When the Browns line up with Josh Cribbs in the backfield in their "flash" formation, the Eagles have to be disciplined and aggressive. Cribbs can throw the football out of this formation and he can run it for big yards. He is a dangerous weapon. The Eagles must tackle him well and dictate to him with their pressure. Chris Gocong is a key player here. He has come a long, long way as a SAM linebacker. His play against the run has been outstanding. The Eagles need Gocong to keep Cribbs off the edge on the strong side of the formation and turn him into the rest of the defense.

I expect the Browns to play all out, try a lot of gadget plays and go for fourth downs and things like that. They have absolutely nothing to lose. The Eagles defense must set the tempo here and push the pace with blitzes and a lot of pressure at the line of scrimmage.

STOP CRIBBS ON SPECIAL TEAMS

My prediction: The Eagles will break a long return in this game. I just feel the return team is due. DeSean Jackson hasn't had much of a chance in the last few weeks. He has a chance tonight. Same with Quintin Demps. Cleveland has Cribbs, and I wouldn't even give him a chance to return kicks. The Browns make this a much tighter game if they play with a short field all night.

So the special teams have to win the battle and take Cribbs out of the game. Kick away from him on kickoffs. Pin him on the sidelines on punts, or just kick the ball out of bounds and give up a few yards. The Eagles cannot let this guy beat them tonight.

Look, I feel that the Eagles are going to play a good game tonight. I feel they have "it," that focus that playoff teams get down the stretch. I feel the team is hitting its stride. But this is one of those games that test a team. It looks too easy, doesn't it? Don't kid yourself. This is the NFL. Anything can happen.

The Eagles can't let anything happen. They have to go out and play a good football game, an "A" game, and win a game they have to win.

i don't want any young QB as philly's future who takes interest in supplanting the best QB in philly history before he retires.

McNabb is the obvious choice for the game ball. I also think game balls could go to Jason Avant and Stewart Bradley.

Argh, except for those 2 dropped INTs by Hanson and Brown, our defense played supurb. Game ball should go to McNabb.*** We have 2 games to give Dawk an INT.

I swear, as I sat here watching McNabb throw the ball, he might have the best arm in the NFL. The velocity of his fastball is incredible, he throws 20-25 yard frozen ropes. And what about that deep comeback route to Curtis early when he threw the ball across the field. Incredible.

plasma, it's probably true he hasn't practiced much this week, the 1st int was batted and coulda been batted at least by Greg Lewis, but wasn't. I agree he surely hasn't looked good, but I believe when the game slows down for a young guy, it can get better. This is a great time to have him in to see if he can rebound and do things that can win a game...so far, we haven't seen it during the season

I'm not sure if I want Kolb to be our future... He gives up an INT for a TD. First TD for the Browns in a month. Then almost throws ANOTHER INT. THEN GIVES US FIRST PUNT OF THE NIGHT!!! Come on! Keep McNabb in. Keep the QB in until the end of the game and you're at the kneels.

At some point, you have to trust your offensive line to get you enough of a push for 3 inches. I don't have any problems with the fade but you need to put an inferior team away in the 1st half than keep them in it.

You have to overload the blitz group the L tackle is out. The QB has no experience its the right call. NO delay blitzes show the blitz and send them maybe drop the DE in pass coverage as he might get a pick.
justinmorrisnow@...
12/15/08

JustinMorris: That play has worked both times the Eagles have ran it this year. And you rarely rarely rarely see a fade pass picked off like that and almost returned for a touchdown, most of the time both the players go to the ground afterwards. It was just a great defensive play.

9:08 pm
Cutch21 I know allot about football. I understand your logic, however like I stated twice already. We have the biggest offensive line in football, a big QB, and an allpro back. Not to mention they are literally inches away. You have to have enough faith in the running game with all that. Also the completion percentage chances in a conjested area like that would be below 20%. You also have a chance at a pick 6 (which almost happened) trust me guys it was NOT the right call. However I do see the argument that you are TRYING to make.

Third and inches at the goal the QB sneak I beleive is always the right call EXCEPT with 9 seconds and no time-outs then you throw the fade Except to the outside should between the left shoulder and sideline on that side of the field.

9:05 pm
you know I'm trying to stay positive here... but we have the stupidest fatass coach with the knack for the worst play at the most inopportune time. That spot BEGS for a QB sneak!!!!!!!!!! I didn't like the running play beofre that either which make you burn your last timeout. STUPID. This dumbF runs when he should pass and passes when he should run. Nice wildcat formation last time down there too - - Jackson is a fabulous passer, let him throw when your QB has a 99% completion ratio in the first half. I just don't freakin get it. It should be 31-3 and game over. I'm gonna lose my fantasy football playoffs with McNabb as my QB because of our dope fat coach.
chrisejlewis@...
12/15/08
9:05 pm
I saw that INT coming. With 9 seconds left and no timeouts, I knew Andy would throw it - and so did the Browns. A better play would have been McNabb on a nake bootleg left. His option - run it from one yard out into the end zone OR throw it away if there is someone converging on him before he can cross the goal line. Either way, it's a TD or an incompletion thus allowing a FG on the next play as time runs out for the half. Even I could call THAT play. Wow. Lucky it didn't end in a Browns TD.

Smart you still have to have enough faith in your tunning game and offensive line when they are that big and only a foot away from the goal line. I bet you Runyan and all of them are POed right now at Andy because I have to believe that they wanted to run it in. Even a QB sneak at inches away would of been just about automatic. Dumb Dumb call, but then again Andy has been making allot of those this season. Im not calling for his head, but his play calling needs to improve (like it has been the last 2 games). Even through most of this half, the calling has been good but its stupid calls like that that can change the games outcome ?(most likly not this game though thank goodness)

Those complaining about no QB Sneak know very little. You run the ball and do not score, the half ends without any points. You throw a quick pass, the logic is it either gets caught for a TD or batted down and you kick the field goal. The CB from Cleveland made a hell of a play on that ball. It was not that poorly thrown, the guy went up and caught it fully outstretched and with one hand. The only call you can question is the Jackson pass.

he didnot wanna risk it cuz of the No timeout 9 seconds left situation. It was the right call to do the fade but the pass was kind of underthrown. But a fade Route means the Receiver waits to see where the game is and fades out jumps and gets its so some blame is on Basket too

Also inactive were running back Lorenzo Booker, linebacker Joe Mays, defensive end Bryan Smith, offensive tackle Chris Patrick, guard Shawn Andrews and tight end Matt Schobel. A.J. Feeley was designated as the third quarterback. Cleveland's inactives included defensive back Travis Daniels, running back Jerome Harrison, safety Hamza Abdullah, linebackers Kris Griffin and Beau Bell, offensive lineman Scott Young, tight end Kellen Winslow and defensive lineman Santonio Thomas. For you "Rocky." BUCS DEFENSE WILL BE WITHOUT GREG WHITE AS WELL Posted by Josh Alper on December 15, 2008, 3:49 p.m. Earlier today came word that Bucs safety Jermaine Phillips is out for the season and linebacker Derrick Brooks is in danger of missing Sunday’s game with the Chargers. Greg White will also be missing from the Bucs roster. Stylez G. White will be taking his place. According to the Tampa Tribune’s Bucs Report, White had a name change request granted by Hillsborough County Circuit Court on Monday. His life as Gregory Alphonso White Jr. came to an end, and he became Styles G. White. The inspiration for the name came from Rupert “Stiles” Stilinkski, the best friend of the titular character in the 1985 film Teen Wolf. “That was his best friend’s name,’’ White said. “I always liked that name. It’s not that I don’t like Greg White.’’ White has played in all 14 Bucs games this season, starting none, and has recorded five sacks.

Bad news for tose of us hoping for Minnesota to beat Atlanta. This was just on rotoworld....Vikings NT Pat Williams will miss 2-6 weeks with a broken right scapula in his shoulder. The scapula connects the arm to the collarbone. Williams, who's started every game since 2002, is Minnesota's top run stuffer. He'll be replaced by Fred Evans, a solid sub who has never been a three-down player. Upgrade Michael Turner's Week 16 matchup and Brandon Jacobs' for the finale....Terrible news for Eagles fans. So much for the Williams wall.

The Redskins at home will be no walkover and the Cowpies will be recovered and seeking the same spot we are. I'm excited but a bit edgy about the game tonight. As long as the offense keeps clicking, it should be easy for the defense to keep us in this game. The LBs have gotten better against the TE, but having Winslow out is definitely a plus. The CLE line should be helpless against out OL, so Donny has no excuse to not take his time (as long as Reid runs the ball *first*, and goes to play-action *second*).

I said, and You can go back and read the exact posts, that if we're up by 14+ we should rest players. It would give more honest evals of our backups as well, and where they might fit in, in the future.

My point is we need to WIN out peroid and crap your socks pull them up and get on the field we have lost to or tied to worst teams then th Browns. So dont go into the game thinking about resting players we have 180 minutes of football left possible and resting players is not the answer if you hurt thats different but playing in pain at this stage is expected.

Intelligence is also part of the reason some humans are.. humane, and disagree with slaughtering of mass animals. In Your so called scripture times, there were far less humans, meaning far less slaughtered animals. Meaning far less carbon released by those cows and co. into the air, which in turn is depleting our ozone layer faster than any man-made creations are. I can go FAR into detail with this debate, but I'm going to try and do what I said I would, and keep my fingers calm. GAH!

Missed my point dear. I'm not arguing whether or not you should eat meat, I'm just correcting your attempt to point out teeth as a reason. Humans were meat and plant eaters by design. Plant eating animals only have grinding teeth not cutting teeth. We have both as do other omnivores. I's a personal choice but we are equipped to eat both. Nuff said.

dbm517, we don't need sharp fangs to tear our food because we have brains. With those brains, we were able to learn to control fire and create tools. Likewise (for me, but perhaps not for your beliefs), in Scripture God gave permission to eat animals after the flood. If you do not wish to eat animals, that is fine. But do not tell me it's okay for predators to use the gifts they have (claws and teeth) and not mine (intelligence). By the way, the B12 and protein-rich products that African vegetarians would need simply will not grow in their desertified ecosystem. By the way, are you anti-abortion? Anti-death penalty?

Hopefuly it happens though, I really want to see McGlynn, Booker, Eckel, Demps, Hanson, get extra reps in.

Damage; I think her point was that most of our teeth are grinders, while only four are knives. Nothing wrong with vegans, but there's essentialy nothing wrong with eating meat either. Sidenote; Humans eating only veggies can be just as healthy as those who eat meats. On the other hand, if someone was to only eat meat, they would likely have plenty of health issues. I'm an omnivore, and can't see myself giving up steak, seafood of many kinds, or really any kind of meat minus chicken. Not a huge chicken fan, although I do eat it every so often.

I hope we have the chance to rest a good portion of our starters after halftime. Possibly put WJ in as some have suggested, let Booker get his 10 carries as another has suggested. I would like to see more of Demps at FS after HT also. How about McGlynn? I would LOVE to see how well he performs at L or RG. And Cole at C. If we start to fall, put the starters back in.

well then igglefan, what's my reason for it? typing insults to others through a computer screen is a little juvenile, isn't it. i'm a vegetarian, and you're way too fussy for your own good. everyones saying the same thing just repeated. you want football for YOUR beloved eagles? well that's what youtube is for. and while the dramatic violin is playing in the background, you need to figure out what your issues are and why you're so angry! shame on you! if you like repeating yourself, go on, but from the looks of it, no one really pays attention to what you have to say unless there's substance to it, which is only about 20% of the time. i personally don't, unless it's a "personal attack" on me. if you don't like the heat, or in this case what's on the menu, get out of my kitchen! im not talking to you dude, so im sure the other fellas on here have no problems chatting away with you. um um um.

I agree, fire. It is a noble cause for sure...and one that I have struggled with recently. My love & respect for animals is starting to really get in the way of my diet. We were all raised on meat and that's why it is so difficult to eliminate it from our diet. Steaks, burgers, turkey, bacon, etc. all taste good. If we never tasted it in the first place, we would never miss it. Having said that, my meat consumption has been on the decline over the past 6 months or so. I am slowly trying to reduce my intake. It is a work in progress for me at the moment. Still, I do donate to PETA among other animal welfare groups (WWF, Toronto Humane Society, SPCA, etc.).

Igglefandub; You missed the most important puzzle piece to success. Winning the battles on both sides of the ball, at the line of scrimmage. If our line gives Don time to find the open reciever, and time for the reciever to get open in the first place, we get success in the air. If our line wins the battle pushing defenders back for our men to run, we wear them down, bring 8 inside, and control the clock. There is a reason most OTs go in the first rounds of the draft, as they are argueably the second most valuable players on a football teams roster.

Kira) Vegetarianism is a noble concept, and I have had my own attempt at it in the past. My hat is off to anyone that succeeds in doing so. Be careful to make sure you get an adequate source of protein in your diet by other means (nuts, beans, etc). That being said, humans, as well as some other animals, were designed to be omnivores. Our dental design includes the teeth for grinding as well for ripping and shredding. On a side note... anyone that has a young green iguana, or is thinking of getting one. They are true herbivores, and should never be given meat or insects, as they lack the enzymes to properly break down animal proteins, and can result in an imbalance leading to metabolic bone disease.

Can`t contribute to the marijuana post `cos never did, and it is kind of late in the day to experiment now. I always heard it was not smart health wise, can`t tel you exactly why unless pushed. On the other hand, I am a meat person...steak, spicy and well done. Heard all the stuff about red meat...suppose I should check my cholesterol, but I won`t, unfortunately, my waist line has increased a bit, fear not, not like in the AR range, but a bit thicker than when I was more "sprity", what did I do about it, the easy way out...cut the beer to a minimum...only when necessary and switch over the Remy Martin and Hennessy Priviledge..lovely stiffs I may add, with rocks in them, you tend to enjoy the game better.

In order to win this game, the defense, offense and special teams must all play well. Our quarterback needs to hand the ball off to our fast and elusive running back. Our quarterback must also throw the football to the wide receiver who is open, not one who is covered. Our defense must stop their offense and prevent their offense from scoring while our offense scores many, many points. That is how we will win the game.

lol I think CIN is just a good matchup against certain teams, especialy teams that don't generaly have to do any research into their schemes. CIN is in a rough division, almost as tough as ours (I would hate to have to play PIT and BAL twice every year) and gets grooves going against "strange" teams. CIN isn't a terrible team, just needs improvements against the run and against the blitz.

Fanatic, I agree with you in that he was a 2nd rd pick and actually showed flashes, has not done much more than that. You know the FO can miss in the draft, but when they extend players after a few yrs, they are usu spot on..Brown was extended which makes me think there is yet some juice in him. Talking about drops, I was at the Cincy game, i think it was a 3rd and 3 or 4, he was out in the flat on the rt, seemed a routine catch, not a perfect throw, he simply didn`t look interested...I could have kicked him if I was close enough. Ken; In my opinion, Brown is a dissapointment simply because of the round in which he was drafted. He is a talented reciever, but drops the ball, doesn't appear to run his routes well, and talked trash early in the season when DJ got the go ahead for #2 spot, over him. (Not against DJ, but against the team as a whole)

Fanatic, if we get up early, say 2 possesions, I will let Booker run some plays. So far, he hasn`t done much, but you never know. I was one of those who cautioned during TC, that the guy was easily released/traded by a good evaluator of talent..Parcels and so we should wait for him to play before praising him. Thing is he hasn`t really played and at his position, you kind of need like 8-10 touches to have a say.

lol hilarious!!! yes animals can be very toxic. now please don't try and be contrary by adding in the "blessed with intelligence" argument after i say this one thing. Okay..look at a lion/cheetah/bear/any wild animal that eats meat, and check out the teeth (i'm sure you won't have to though, you already know what they look like). extremely big and razor-like sharp. now why is this? because they are meant to tear through skin to get to muscles (which is what meat is anyways). now take a look at our teeth, and try and do what a lion does with your bear hands. i bet you cannot eat it with the ease an animal does, and without a stove or oven, you wouldn't want to eat it anyways. now i understand you love beef. heck...i love it too! sirloin steaks were my faves! and chicken?!!? never knew i'd give it up, but wasn't ever a fan of seafood. after watching the way they kill the poor animals so inhumanely back in march of 06', I told myself i would never eat meat again. But going cold turkey is never easy..at my friend's house the next month(she's filippino), she had this thing they simply call "bistec." SO GOOD! it was my fave...i eat it, and as i'm doing so, picture what i'm eating...the poor suffering animal. The guilt and morale behind my reasoning is the reason i haven't touched it since. do you also know that cow takes 8 hours to digest in your stomach alone? it has to ROTT first. YUCKKKKK!!! and even in the stores, this dead meat is only pink because it's sprayed with something. otherwise, it's a dingy great. please become vegetarian! i hope i've grossed you out with the facts to at least consider it. plus, you'll always be think and vibrant-looking =D

One problem, with being a vegetarian, a subject I know something about. If you can't afford "Organic," you'll be loading yourself up with an abundence of insecticides. Each portion contains minute amounts, but eventually, saturate your system. This eventually, results in systemic cancers, after all, they're designed to destroy living things, even though those living things are insects. Same is true for fruit.

While I am still in the unpopular corner, I might as well add that I think R Brown should play tonight while Curtis should sit this one out. Just read Peter King at SI.com, that concussion stuff is real. Don`t want to drag anyone back as I recall there was a vigorous discussion at to whether Brown is a bust or not. My feeling is that the more you do in this league the better your chance of playing. All our WR play ST except Curtis and Brown, (I suspect Curtis will pay well if asked). That is why G-Lew gets on the fied ahead of Reggie. We have realy waited a while for him to step up or better fulfil his potential. This is the kind of game that he may do well in.

Here's my take on the tangents and why they are okay. Besides the obvious most of the football topics are hashed and rehashed until we tire of talking about them until fresh posts enter, we all share a common bond as eagles fans, despite our occaisional differences of opinions of what is best for the team. When the tangents post, besides being a "break" from the repetitive football topics, it gives us a chance of seeing each other as more than just eagles fans, and to strengthen our bonds even further.

scuze me!!! here are my predictions for this week. as ive already stated, tonights win should NOT be hard-fought. it should be practice for the mentality of the team as well as future rivals. tampa will lead SD by a pretty sad margin, but SD comes back around the third quarter and gives them a run for their money. garcia will be sacked, and will feel the sore little calf that prevented him from playing against ATL. he will received a major a*ss whoopin to a struggling team! thus proving that they should NOT be in the playoffs over our eagles. dumb calls and errors and the "1 yard" problem plagued this team, but no more!! yes...if we get in the playoffs this year, we will be VERY tough to beat. and with the current teams we have now that are in it, the road to the SB never looked so steady! and might i add that the AFC team that will go to the SB will be the steelers. we will finally have that pennsylvania showdown that should have occured the year the cheating patriots beat everyone, us included. but first, i will say that after a heartbreaking win in tampa, we take our focus to the ATL game which will be extremely close. ATL jumps out early and the crowd is weary. They take a good lead, but it all crumbles on a defensive turnover! turner will finally choke, as well as their rookie QB. MIN wins by 4, 21-17 and just like that, our eagles, with a win over washington, are back in it. and since im here, skins fans are shocked, hurt, upset, lost for words...finished with the season. they are at the state of most philly fans when we were doing horrendous - absolutely fed up! talks of portis leaving on his own will as well as zorn's forced exit are all around the area. sports shows, including darrell green (had government class with his son, who was obsessed with boobs!) who feel that the problem is with coaching, and odd calls by refs. oh well, such is life! eagles will make it to the playoffs in the WC showdown against dallas. tony choko will remember the night he played our eagles!!! we beat tampa in the WC. and depending on whos the no 1 seed, will face panters or NYC. my bet is the giants...and we will beat the panters in the nfc championship and the steelers in the SB. um um um

I'm sure he did as much television as he watches, but regardless there were many good positive points about the effects. Coming from a Nat Geo special, that says a little bit. Granted the legalization process would be complicated. (they didn't go into detail on all that, being as it was only a 1 hour special) If it were ever legalized everyone would probably try to become homemade botanists, instead of going to stores to buy the taxed kind. But with the research and evals given by scientists I see alot more positives to the stuff than there are negatives. It's crazy the way our government brain washes us into believing marijuana is the devils drug. After all, it's the government that's allowed mercury and flouride to be hand fed to us. DJack will break one tonight, obviously Spadaro has read my posts last week. Long Beach Poly wraps up another championship this past weekend, giving DJack even more motivation, and the fact that he was without a reception against the Giants, he will dance in the endzone tonight. Weeeeeeeeeeell...Our LB's do make tackles. But they are NOT monsters! I dont see that mean streak in them. Think about how Trot used to do the Ax Hammer when he made a play. Maybe Sapp sees a lack of intensity and is basing it off of that.

There's not much to say about this one. If our team is worthy of the playoffs and capable of going deep (and I believe they are), this game should provide no suspense and very little drama. Eagles - 34, cleveland - 6.

No doubt a must win game and I can only hope that AR stays out of his bag of tricks, forgets about his scripted plays and otherwise just does not find a way to mess this up! I like Warren Sapp. He came out of left field but its TV and look at the linebackers he played with when he was Tampa. Compared to Brooks, Nickerson and Quarles yeah ours suck. But they are young and the jury is still out on the Eagles LBs. They have improved and are playing much better of late. That is really all you can ask at this point. Go Eagles. Stomp the Browns tonight!

Fyer) I've been mentioning the tie scenarios for a while now. If Atl ties we win on head to head. If TB ties then it goes all the way down to strength of victory, with identical div (not used in wc vs another div, only within), nfc, and common opponent win pct. Not sure if strength of victory is entire season...or just on the common opponents.

We can't control what other teams do. We need to be consistant in these last three games. We will see what this team is made of deep in its core now. Are we champs or chumps. This last couple of weeks could have long lasting effects on the character and make-up of the Eagles for a couple of years to come.

Enough about, "Dallas," we can't control them anymore then they can control us, until we confront them. Right now, "That's placing the, cart before the horse," as Cleveland is, "On Tap," tonight! We can control our, "Destiny," relative the outcome of each individual game. Let's focus on tonight's outcome and send the "Browns," back to the, "Dog Pound." As the wolf, in the barren, icy wilderness, we hunger in desparation and are starved for necessities sake. Send the players the optimism, support and emotional enthusiasm, they need. Very nice article, Mr. Spadaro! You mentioned Gocong! Anyway, who feels all the NFL analyists will be all over the Cowboys? "They beat the Giants, they must be the #1 team!" Yeah, when the Eagles beat the Giants they still weren't ranked as highly. But whatever, the Eagles don't need the media attention, unlike the 'Boys. And remember the game against the Bengals? And how everyone was saying, "This is a game we won't lose." Yeah well, we tied, which is the same, because we should be 8-5 right now. Just ahead of the 'Boys with a playoff berth.

KEY TO THE GAME: DEFENSE SETS THE TONE!! We must come out nd pound Cleveland. They are a BAD TEAM! Pound them into submission blow them out of the water. Bolster our confidence even more. Use this as spring board. Skins are reeling and fading....I THINK Big D is ready to implode. We blow out Cleveland get the O rolling fast and furious again and we will be fine!!! Defense sets tone and takes emphasis off the offense so they play loose and have fun. We need to win by at least 14 pts or more. A win is a win, but a true blowout does wonders for a teams confidence!
