Oakland is getting their running back tandem involved in the game and they are now closer to the end zone now then they have been most of the game. The Raiders have not had to drive much with both of their scores being on break out plays. It should be interesting to see how Oakland fares being in the red zone and working with a short field.

The Raiders are not hiding the fact that they want to throw the ball deep on this drive. Russell was dropped back twice and nearly connected with a receiver but the drive resulted in them punting the ball away. Oakland knows they have to point points on the board because it is very likely that New England will keep going to the end zone.

The Raiders are taking no chances in the second half as they are running out a nickel package every down. New England takes advantage of having to deal with once less linebacker and Sammy Morris gets his longest run of the year. Randy Moss scores touchdown number two of the game and that gets the loudest reaction out of the crowd all game. Tom Cable needs to take chances and run conventional and nickel and dime packages. If they continue to play defense like this Bill Belichick will rip this defense apart.
