New Orleans Saints at Chicago BearsFan picks
33This is a playoff game for these two. Loser is in big trouble -- probably done. The Saints don't play well in Chicago, but this one could be different. They have the passing game that will cause the Bears defense troubles. It might be a high-scoring game, so my pick is the Saints and the better quarterback.
Result: New Orleans Saints 24, Chicago Bears 27

Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis RamsFan picks
28What a dog game we have here. Both teams thought they'd push for a playoff spot this season and now they're just hoping to win a game. The Rams have played better at home and they will face Seneca Wallace, who probably won't have back-to-back good games. I'll go with the home team.
Result: St. Louis Rams 20, Seattle Seahawks 23

Buffalo Bills at NY JetsFan picks
20The Jets are in save-the-season mode now after losing consecutive games. They just don't throw the ball down the field well enough for my liking. Hard to believe that's the case with Brett Favre, but they don't. The Bills are done and playing for next season. So motivation is at play here. But the Jets aren't good enough to blow any teams out.
Result: NY Jets 31, Buffalo Bills 27

San Francisco 49ers at Miami DolphinsFan picks
23The Dolphins have a real shot to win the AFC East. Can you believe it? The 49ers have played better the past couple of weeks, winning two in a row, but this is their second trip to the East Coast in three weeks. That's draining. Miami's defense will be too much for Shaun Hill.
Result: Miami Dolphins 14, San Francisco 49ers 9

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City ChiefsFan picks
27The Chargers still have a chance to win the division, but it's a slim one. They can't afford another loss. The Chiefs are playing for next season, but their young players are getting better. This will be tight. Upset alert.
Result: Kansas City Chiefs 21, San Diego Chargers 22

Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville JaguarsFan picks
27Here's a game that looked like it might be big at the start of the season but now is a game featuring two of the bigger disappointments of the season. The Packers aren't playing as bad as the Jaguars, which is really bad. Do they find any life here? I say no. The Packers get a road victory. They have the better quarterback.
Result: Green Bay Packers 16, Jacksonville Jaguars 20

Detroit Lions at Indianapolis ColtsFan picks
35This is the biggest mismatch of the week. The Lions can't possibly think they can win their first game here, do they? The Colts seem to be getting it right for a playoff run. The offense has come alive. The Lions won't be able to stop them.
Result: Indianapolis Colts 31, Detroit Lions 21

Tennessee Titans at Houston TexansFan picks
22The Texans will be playing this one like a playoff game. They get a chance at home to knock off the AFC's best team. This is also a chance to send a message that the Texans will be a factor in the AFC South next season. Tennessee has a big one with Pittsburgh next week. They get caught looking ahead.
Result: Houston Texans 13, Tennessee Titans 12
13%
17 87%
Washington Redskins at Cincinnati BengalsFan picks
17The Redskins haven't done much lately and a loss here will end their playoff hopes. Cincinnati would appear to be the perfect tonic. They can't score. Look for a low-scoring, boring game that is won by the Redskins.
Result: Washington Redskins 13, Cincinnati Bengals 20

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta FalconsFan picks
23The Bucs are playing the second of back-to-back road games. That's tough. They also are facing a physical team that likes to run the ball. They had trouble with that at Carolina. The same goes here.
Result: Atlanta Falcons 13, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 10
71%

Minnesota Vikings at Arizona CardinalsFan picks
27The Cardinals clinched a playoff spot, but they would love to get the third seed or even the second on the NFC. That means they have to keep winning. The Vikings are good against the run, but you can throw against them. That plays right into Kurt Warner's style. The Cardinals are good at home and that continues.
Result: Arizona Cardinals 14, Minnesota Vikings 35
84%
21 16%
New England Patriots at Oakland RaidersFan picks
24The Patriots stayed on the West Coast after beating Seattle. That takes some of the sting out of long plane flights. It helps that the Raiders stink. The Patriots won't have to play all that hard to win this one. Oakland has packed it in. Matt Cassel should play even though his father passed away this week.
Result: New England Patriots 49, Oakland Raiders 26

Denver Broncos at Carolina PanthersFan picks
23This is a watch-out game for the Panthers. They're coming off a short week. They put a lot into beating Tampa Bay in a division game and they have a huge NFC game with the Giants next week. Denver can sneak in here and take this one. It will be close.
Result: Carolina Panthers 30, Denver Broncos 10

22 08%
Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore RavensFan picks
17Who will come out of this one alive? This is going to be a bloodbath. These are two of the best defenses in football. So what wins it? The quarterback who can make plays down the field. I'll go with the more experienced Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.
Result: Pittsburgh Steelers 13, Baltimore Ravens 9

NY Giants at Dallas CowboysFan picks
30The Cowboys have their season on the line here after losing to the Steelers. The Giants are coming off a tough loss. Somebody has to bounce back. I usually hate going against a desperate home team, but the Giants are the better team and it will show.
Result: NY Giants 8, Dallas Cowboys 20

Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia EaglesFan picks
30The Eagles have turned their season around, while the Browns are playing out the string. That means a blowout. I just can't see Ken Dorsey playing well in this one. The Eagles win big.

I'm pretty sure Prisco only picked the Texans because he can't stand the Giants not having the best record in the NFL (or at least tied for the best). Just a thought, cuz I'm not disrespecting the Texans, their offense is great, but I just think that our combo of a great defense and average offense will beat their great offense and average defense. I think turnovers will be big, and both teams ...(more)

The Broncos have basically won the West with a banged up team, dipping way into their 3rd string and hiring guys back who havn't football played this year. The way they decisively beat the Jets tells me that when they get back their starters    ---   THE SUPER BOWL IS IMMINENT!!!!!!

Prisco, how on earth do you expect the Giants to put up 30 points on a very improving defense without their top WR and RB AND after coming off one of the worst offensive performances of the year for them last week?  Lolol.  Dallas is playing for their playoff lives as well.  That is one of the dumbest predictions I have ever seen.  Predicting Dallas will score 25 points puts th ...(more)

I don't check these picks every week, but the Browns-Titans and Bengals-Colts games are the first time I've ever seen ALL the fans pick one team.  Even the Rams got 1% against the Cardinals, for crying out loud.  Not complaining or anything - after all, those two games are world-class mismatches - just a first for me.

Go Dorsey!  Bark like you mean it!  lol

...to blow any teams out"

Ok, so I guess that means that week 4 against Arizona didn't actually happen? Or week 10 against the Rams? Hell, even beating the Titans 34-13 was pretty decent. Fair enough they've played like crap the last two weeks, but the point is that they are good enough to blow teams out.

With some of the stuff that Prisco comes out with

He is so pathetic. Out of the 6 "experts," he is the worst by 5 games. Why does he get his picks and grades section when he can't pick an NFL game to save his life? Even the spin dog is ahead of him by 5 games. What a joke.

I see that only two CBS experts are taking this team this weekend.  Two weeks in a row that the underdog pick has been right on.
