New York City readers: Love Rock Band and music games? Then you'll want to be at the Wired Store when it opens later this week.

On Friday evening, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos will join Wired's me on stage for Games: The Future of Music, a talk about the rise of music games, where they've been, where they're going. We'll hold an audience Q&A, too, so you'll get to ask him your own burning questions, like when are they going to add some Spinal Tap anyway.

The event will run from 7-8 PM that evening at the Wired Store, at 15 West 18th St. You can and should RSVP.

Keep an eye on that official home page for word of more Wired Store events. Chris Baker is scheduled to be there on December 4 to chat with LittleBigPlanet maker Media Molecule, to name one highly relevant example.
