Activision will partner with Konami to bring Guitar Hero into the arcades, according to a report at Bemanistyle.

Irony rating: five stars. Konami is the original creator of Guitar Freaks and Drummania (pictured), the arcade games that inspired Guitar Hero years later, after Konami failed to release home versions of their guitar games in the U.S.

Bemanistyle has a photograph of the machine from the floor of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions trade show, which opens tomorrow in Orlando. The machines clearly display the logos for Konami and Activision, as well as arcade game developer Raw Thrills.

Video: Capcom Spotlights Street Fighter IV's Gouken

By Earnest Cavalli EmailNovember 14, 2008 | 9:26:26 AMCategories: Arcades

Even among those of us with ready access to a Street Fighter IV arcade cabinet, few have seen Gouken in action. Thankfully, Capcom has decided to rectify that.

The company's latest footage from SFIV focuses entirely on Ryu and Ken's master, and, unsurprisingly, his unique version of the classic Shotokan fighting style. Like his pupils Ryu and Ken (and his malevolent counterpart Akuma), Gouken's style relies heavily on fireballs, flying uppercuts and whirlwind kicks.

Street Fighter IV is currently available in a smattering of arcades throughout the world, and will reach North American Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms in February of 2009.
