Have you ever been stalked?
The news that Bryan Adams, who's not exactly A-list, has not one but two stalkers made me wonder just how many of you have been the object of unwanted, persistent attention. I'm not necessarily talking about a full-blown stalker who goes through your garbage and sends you love letter written in earwax. But what about a spurned suitor who just couldn't take a hint?

What's Your Type?
Big news: I'm in the running to be Britney Spears' next boy toy. Who knew, right? But if my Glamour homegirl Lindsey Unterberger says I have a shot that's good enough for me. Please check out the link and consider voting for me, although there's no one I'd rather lose to than Jake. What really surprised me about the list (besides the fact that I'm on it) is how many different types of men Lindsey came up with.

Makeover My Bed: Kick Out the Furry Companion?
I tend to stay away from all things warm & fuzzy, furry, pet-related, cartoonish, and sentimental. I like faux fur, yes, but only on Russian Cossack hats and a few winter coats. Oh, and I wouldn’t mind sporting a muff—if I ever found myself on the set of Little Women or White Christmas. read more

Single, Schmingle—I’ve Got Leftovers and Hugh Jackman to Satisfy Me!
Thanksgiving with the Nantucket friends and family was pretty unreal. If our dinner had had a theme, it would have been French cuisine does an American holiday! To start, French wine, and on slices of baguettes, the most flavorful cheeses I’ve ever tasted. Our turkey dinner included dishes like fennel puree (hello, mashed potato upgrade!). The table was lovely—my friend Beatrice made Martha Stewart-worthy centerpiece creations, with yellow pumpkins carved into flower vases (sorry no photos!!). Illuminating our meal was the gentle flicker of candlelight, which bounced off the sparkling silver Tiffany cutlery. It was a feast for the eyes and stomach! Tasteful and tasty!

My New Favorite Thing: Lazy Dates
I hope everyone had an excellent Thanksgiving weekend. Mine was very solid. My aunt, who happens to be the best non-professional cook I know, came through with a meal for the ages, including three pies for four people. I put down two plates and very seriously considered loading up for Round Three. I burned off the calories on Saturday with some highly competitive bowling with the Hong Kong Don and Co. before heading over to Victoria's place for takeout and DVDs.

Top 5 Reasons it’s Great to be Single on Thanksgiving
After your comments yesterday, especially those from LoMill27, lisa021981, LORIKNOWS, goodkarma93, and Emily_M123, I thought we could use some cheering up! Not that this helps, but here are some positives I've discovered while spending the holidays alone!
1.) No crazy in-laws!

My younger brother and his fiance moved in together this weekend. Fifty years ago this would have been unheard of--couples didn't live with each other before marriage. Nowadays, at least in my circle, you'd be considered crazy if you didn't move in with your significant other before tying the knot. I think it's a little more complicated than that.

What's Your Favorite Sex Scene?
Sex scenes are really hard to write. You start out with good intentions, but after a few sentences your story becomes engorged with turgidly bad prose. Trust me, I've been there. Which is why I'm so impressed with this passage from Ernest Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls, which I'm currently re-reading:
