I've read many of your problems, and I feel that many of you were spoiled by Oblivion. I'll be honest here: Oblivion was an RPG to bring children into the genre who spent their entire lives playing mindless shooters. Yep, I said it. Sure, the core combat of Oblivion was better than Morrowind, but in the end, Oblivion dumbed everything down.
Oblivion had the most straight-forward dialogue system, and it also unlocked every main city for you to fast-travel and visit. They gave you a map marker and said 'Go here!'.
Morrowind had a crappy combat system, but you have to find your locations with no-such option as 'fast-travel'. Morrowind also had WAAAAY more quests than Oblivion.
What I liked about Fallout 3 is that it combines the high points of both Morrowind and Oblivion into one game. Fallout 3 is almost a perfect RPG.
It has its faults, but it's probably my favorite RPG of all time. (JRPGs aren't RPGs in this sense.)
Personally, most of you guys that don't like Fallout 3 were brutally spoiled by Oblivion.
Well, if you want to have fun, you'll have to put your mind as if you were in a hellishly destroyed world. You'll have to fight for survival, scavenge your ammo, and survive Washington D.C.
Like I said, most of you guys who hated it were either:
A) Spoiled by Oblivion and modern games
B) Suck at this game, because the realistic fight for survival isn't familiar
C) Didn't give the game a chance
If you played a LOT and still hated it, then explain your opinion, but most of you simply played a little bit of it. Heck, many of you WHO complained only have a few Achievements! That is NOT a valid opinion. An opinion is based off of a long-term experiance with the game. If reviews were written off the first three hours of a game, many games would get suckish reviews.
