Ezilylost13 says:

"Why don't I like Fallout 3? I just am not getting into it. I'm about 4 hours in and I'm supposed to be looking for a radio station. I am taking my time, doing some exploring and really trying to enjoy it. While I'm playing though, all I can think about is wanting to play something else."

EA Waves Farewell to Longtime Partner

After throwing six percent of its work force on the chopping block, EA said goodbye to independent developer and collaborator Arkane Studios. GameDaily BIZ reports that Arkane, best known for RPGs such as Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Arx Fatalis, is planning to move forward with its current project, just as soon as the chief executive finds a new partner.

VERDICT: This probably isn’t the last casualty we’ll see from EA’s financial loss. Six hundred jobs, a nixed collaboration… what’s next?

Who You Gonna Call?

Next year will mark the 25th anniversary of the original Ghostbusters, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with Ghostbusters: The Video Game. It's been three months since Activision Blizzard dropped the title, but Atari has come to the rescue. TeamXbox.com has the press release announcing that the game is now part of Atari's release list for next year.

VERDICT:
About time. Now if only I could get Dan to wear his Ghostbusters costume to work...

Speaking of the ‘80s…

Criterion just released a little taste of the Legendary Car series for Burnout Paradise: the Jansen 88 Special, but you might recognize it as the DeLorean from Back to the Future. Although this ride can’t manipulate time, you can trigger the boost for some dual flame trail action. Oh yeah, it can also hover. Kotaku.com has details on the rest of the Legendary Cars, available for download in 2009.

VERDICT: I thought Obama and Palin skins for Mercenaries 2 was the best DLC I’d ever see. Now this?! Move over, map packs and Rock Band tunes! I need room for downloadable AWESOME.

No More “Heroes”

Saving the cheerleader might save the world, but the game is gone for good. Ubisoft confirmed to MTV Multiplayer that it will no longer publish the “Heroes” video game based on the NBC series. This announcement follows the firing of the show’s executive producers.

VERDICT: Good riddance. “Heroes” may have deserved a game after the first season, but it’s all gone downhill from there. I mean, look how worried Kristin Bell looks.

All Part of Your New Xbox Experience

Joystiq.com reports that A Kingdom for Keflings, the loveable Arcade game developed by NinjaBee, will be the first Xbox 360 title to feature playable, in-game Avatars as part of the New Xbox Experience. Turn your li'l Avatars into giants when the update hits your Xbox on November 19.

VERDICT: This game is already an OXM Editors' Choice, but now it's even Choicier.

COMMENTS:

DeLorean? Nice.

That just MIGHT get me to play BP again!
