"Why don't I like Fallout 3? I just am not getting into it. I'm about 4 hours in and I'm supposed to be looking for a radio station. I am taking my time, doing some exploring and really trying to enjoy it. While I'm playing though, all I can think about is wanting to play something else."

This Week in Xbox — 11/14

WORDS BY: Taylor Cocke
Get Yourself A New Outfit

While Bungie has been insisting that Halo 3: Recon is not a full-length $60 game, it has given us some good news about the release. GameInformer has revealed, if you have completed the "Vidmaster Challenge" achievements in Halo 3, the Recon suit that has been previously Bungie employee only will be available for use on Halo 3 multiplayer.

VERDICT: Do people still play the Halo 3 multiplayer? Wait, that was a stupid question...

Headin' Down to the Arcade

This week, there aren't any going to be any new Xbox Live Arcade games released, Major Nelson reports. However, Microsoft has added Feeding Frenzy, Worms, and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 to the Arcade Hits list, which will drop their price to 400 Microsoft Points each.

VERDICT: I suppose no new games can be made up for with cheap Mortal Kombat. Don't worry Scorpion, I'm coming!

Halo Toys? Gee Wiz!

Bungie has announced that Todd McFarlane has finalized his models for the new line of mini figurines based on the upcoming Halo Wars. There will be four sets of three 2.5-inch figures each, including 3 different colors of UNSC troops (Red, Blue, and Green) as well as a set of Covenant forces. Expect to see them in March for about the 10 dollar range.

VERDICT: Way to miss out on the holiday season, Mr McFarlane.

Hey Parents, Check It Out!

In an effort to further help parents decide if games are appropriate for their children, the ESRB has announced that it will be offering parents summaries of upcoming games on their new mobile website. These summaries will give parents a better idea of exactly what each game contains, rather than a generic rating and warning to parents.

VERDICT: This is a great step towards parents taking responsibilty for what their kids play.

Some Rockin' While You're Boardin'

The soundtrack for Shaun White Snowboarding has been announced, TeamXbox tells us. The songs have a definite lean towards classic and hard rock, and include the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Blue Oyster Cult, and Bob Dylan. More modern bands joining the tracklist include Audioslave, Modest Mouse, and Goldfinger.

VERDICT: Well, I guess it wouldn't be an X-TREME game without an X-TREME soundtrack.

COMMENTS:

Yeah Halo is kind of getting high off its own ego. I personally think the series needs to end. But the fact that the next game is supossed to be made by Gearbox sounds good too.

"This week, there aren't any going to be any new Xbox Live Arcade games released, Major Nelson reports."

you really need to proofread your stuff. this thing reads like an episode of perfect strangers.

Well you will get you wish cause Gearbox is suppose to do Halo 4.

Sucks for you because the Halo trilogy is one of the best video games series ever created.

Sorry i can't stand Halo. The only way I will try halo again is if it's made by a different company.
