Senior Retail Enforcement Lawyer 6+ pqe

Described as "the financial centre of gravity", this dynamic public body enjoys guaranteed work that will only increase during these economic times. You will be applying your legal skills while leading investigations, managing a diverse team of professionals and collaborating with other enforcement bodies to ensure regulations are enforced and penalties imposed.

The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 provides the extensive range of disciplinary, criminal and civil powers that you will be using to take action against regulated and no-regulated firms and individuals that have failed meet standard requirements. You will be working in retail, within an overall department of circa 200 people, and expected to exercise your own judgement and defend those judgements where necessary and appropriate.

Good knowledge of core regulatory requirements, and experience in either civil or regulatory litigation, financial services or banking, markets, insurance, public and administrative law (including human rights), serious fraud or other complex financial crime are required.

You will also have a sound knowledge of the Financial Services and Markets Act, sound knowledge of the RDC and Tribunal procedures and either criminal or civil litigation experience.
