Guy Ritchie called soon-to-be ex-wife Madonna "old, fat, ugly and wrinkled," according to a new report. He followed with the zinger: She's stupid and can't sing.
Friends of the pair told Us Magazine the marriage was plagued with physical and emotional abuse.
It was apparently a two-way street.
"She would taunt Guy, saying, 'I should have married someone like me: strong, hot-blooded, intelligent, ambitious, spiritual,'" a Ritchie source told the magazine. "Their fights would often get heated. A few times Madonna slapped him or poked him."
The magazine's report is the latest in a tit-for-tat divorce that has brutal name calling between the two appearing in tabloid headlines.
After news of the divorce broke last week, Madonna asked the audience members at her concert if they knew anyone who was "emotionally retarded," a presumed jab at Ritchie.
Then Ritchie's father sounded off in the British press, calling Madonna "beastly."
Ritchie fired back by saying Madonna -- who turned 50 this year -- looked like a "granny."
Then, yesterday, photos of Madonna and Ritchie's son, Rocco, surfaced of him wearing a Yankees shirt. Madonna is rumored to be involved with Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez.
