Service Personnel and Veterans Agency
Service Personnel and Veterans Agency (SPVA) has been formed through a merger of the Veterans Agency (VA) and Armed Forces Personnel Administration Agency (AFPAA). The new Agency will provide for the first time, a range of 'through life' support functions direct to around 900,000 serving and ex-Service personnel.
Services include pay and personnel functions for the Armed Forces, administration of all medals work and repatriation of those injured overseas. For veterans, free help, advice and support is available from a free helpline service, website and dedicated welfare service available to provide one to one advice in the home if needed.
