Division of University Advancement


The Division of University Advancement supports Oregon State University by strengthening awareness of and support for the university's mission and goals.

primary objectives

  • Promote the academic, research and outreach accomplishments of faculty and students.
  • Strengthen the university's image and reputation through issues and crisis management and through coordinated marketing and communications strategies.
  • Provide leadership for the university community in graphic standards, messages, licensing and protocol.
  • The division works in partnership with other OSU communicators, the OSU Alumni Association, Athletics, Government Relations and the OSU Foundation.

Integrated Marketing Communications

In summer 2008, OSU will embark upon an Integrated Marketing Communications Strategy and Plan intended to further unify the various institutional branding campaigns and create a more streamlined approach to the way we talk about and brand ourselves. The OSU community is encouraged to participate in this planning process and can follow the progress of planning by visiting the IMC Web site. It is anticipated that this plan will be finalized in the fall 2008 for implementation beginning January 2009.
