IT IS GOING TO be big, i
t is going to be green, and all those Pokémon fans are going to want to get their hands on it when it releases tomorrow.

Pokémon Emerald is the latest game to be brought out through the Pokémon franchise. It is the next version in the Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire collection. It features the same classic Pokémon RPG style of play that has made all of the Game Boy Pokémon adventure games so popular.

A young aspiring Pokémon Trainer moves to Littleroot Town. Our hero enters the foreign neighbourhood eager to explore and shortly into your journey a challenge arises and you must choose from three Pokémon - Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko - and begin a quest to become the world's best Pokémon Trainer. Players must keep balance in the world of Hoenn, where Team Magma or Aqua are trying to use Groudon (ground) or Kyogre (water) to try and take over. Rayquaza (sky) will help maintain this balance.

New features include:

  • Battle Frontier is an all new area with all new battle types and tournaments to test the best Pokémon Trainers.
  • Blends the separate storylines of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire versions together.
  • Expanded gameplay in comparison to Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, with new side quests, new challenges to face and new territory to explore.
  • Pokémon battle animations.
  • Compatible with Pokémon Colosseum, Pokémon Box, Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen.
  • Compatibility with the Wireless Adaptor
