Diablo III "will not get console release"

Speaking at BlizzCon earlier today, Diablo III developers have stated that they have no plans to release Diablo III to the console market.

Leonard Boyarsky, lead world designer, acknowledged rumours that have been circulating since the game was announced, however stated "Of all our games, Diablo III would be the one to port because of the way it plays, but there are no plans to move this to any other platform."

In other news, it has been announced that StarCraft II will not be the only Blizzard title to share the concept of a trilogy at release. Blizzard developers have mentioned that WarCraft IV will also use this system at release, single-handedly confirming the development of a much requested title.
