Department of Research Communications

The Department of Research Communications advances Oregon State University’s strategic plan by telling the stories of OSU researchers through Terra, a research magazine, an affiliated Web site and the annual president’s report. Terra is published three times per year and distributed to:

• business leaders
• legislators and other decision-makers
• news media
• OSU Foundation donors
• graduate programs in higher education
• government agencies
• public libraries

Through narrative story telling, photography and design, the department demonstrates the breadth and impact of research spanning the university’s colleges, research centers and institutes. Through the Web, it brings the voices of OSU researchers to the world. The department aims to convey understanding and inspire excitement in science, engineering and the arts and humanities.
