The Regginator is back at it again. This time, he is using his PR power to hypnotize us into forgetting that Nintendo called us geeks and otaku (with a negative connotation I might add). He spoke to Club Nintendo about a storage solution, and was rather vague.
"We are working on a storage solution ... We have never said that it will be a hard drive nor have we mentioned how we will fix this issue, but we are going to deliver a better way to store the games."
According to Reggie, we aren't going to be seeing any type of hard drive for the Wii, but something better. The most likely scenario seems to be a fix to allow playback from our SD cards. That way you could use them for something different other than storing all of your pictures edited in the frequently used Photo Channel.
