The Australian Football League commissioned Jamie Cooper, Melbourne artist and former Fitzroy defender, to create a painting that would depict 150 years of Australian football and the game's links to the history and culture of the nation. The challenge was to create a pictorial novel of the game we love and depict its influence on Australian life. It had to represent football at all levels and in all eras throughout 150 years. To achieve this, Cooper merged times and places to unite and condense all aspects of our game into one all-encompassing image.

Fenech V Nelson
The Final Round

Jeff Fenech and Azumah Nelson first fought in Las Vegas in 1991, with the result a controversial draw.
The 1992 re-match at Princes Park attracted 40,000 people with Nelson claiming victory by knockout in the eighth round.
The Final Round on Tuesday, June 24th in Melbourne saw Fenech emerge victorious.

The Sir Donald Bradman Cricket Ball

The greatest cricketer of all time, Sir Donald Bradman, scored 974 runs in the 1930 Ashes series averaging an incredible 139.14. This remains the record for the most number of runs scored in an Ashes series.

Before he died, Bradman agreed to commemorate this remarkable achievement by personally signing and numbering 974 uniquely presented cricket balls with a royalty payable to the Bradman Trust on the sale of each ball.

These cricket balls are indeed a rare opportunity to collect a significant piece of Ashes history from the man who is without question regarded as the most outstanding batsman of all time.

Bradman himself had the highest regard for this series as he said `this ball is the only cricket ball project that will ever be produced with my authority or that of the Bradman Trust'.
