Redskins TE Cooley apologizes for 'revealing' material in blog

ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley apologized Monday for posting an explicit photo of himself on his website.

Cooley accidentally revealed more of himself than he wanted when he took a picture Sunday morning while preparing for the game against the New Orleans Saints. Cooley wanted to show the readers of his popular blog some of the study materials the players were given by coach Jim Zorn.

Cooley, however, was studying in the nude, and he didn't examine his photo closely before posting it.

"All apologies from the website. ... We did not want to offend anyone," Cooley said in a posting Monday afternoon after the photo was removed. "The picture wouldn't have been up for so long, but we were in the middle of winning a big game. Once again, this was a complete accident, and we regret not reviewing the post more closely."

Uhhhh, two things:

1. Why was he studying in the nude?

2. Why didn't he notice before he posted it? o_O

Strange man...

If there was one player that I wouldn't be surprised to hear this about on the Redskins, it would have to be Chris Cooley. Whatever, he still had an awesome game yesterday and it looks like him and (more)

From all the Patriot fans trying to see this picture to add to their personal collection. Google advised that the servers may need replaced in the Denver area as well.

At least we now know why they are really here those New England and Denver guys.....

Good times. I'd rather have a guy that's a class act and very accessible and fun with fans having to issue an apology for accidentally putting a photo on with a l'il flesh showing than driving and boating while intoxicated......making it rain....dogfighting.....etc etc etc.

Which is why cooley is on my team....and made the team name cut:  "Calvin's Johnson feel

I found this Football MMO. Its pretty sick, you make a character....give him a position, name and equipment. Then you sign up to a computer owned team or a Human owned team, you get to play in games. Depending on how you do in a game you gain experience and levels, n get to improve your blitzes or spectacular catches... its really sick everyone should check it o ...(more)

Chris Cooley is what's good about the NFL.  Good player who is accessible and doesn't get into trouble.  We have guys getting DUI's, beating their wives, selling drugs, and dog fighting.  This guy made an honest mistake and I think it's obvious with his personality.

Man, to think I could have had my hands on my very own digital image of Chris Cooley in the nude, and I missed it!
