Rivers has three more TDs: Chargers QB Philip Rivers is running into a bit of bad luck. For the second straight game he led his team on what appeared to be the game-winning drive to only be outdone late in the game by the opposition. Rivers put his team ahead 38-31 after a 66-yard touchdown pass to Darren Sproles and successful two-point conversion to Legedu Naanee. There was only 4:22 left in the game, but Denver drove down the field for a touchdown and went ahead on a two-point conversion with 24 seconds left. The Chargers had one last chance but Rivers' desperation heave into the end zone missed Chris Chambers. Rivers completed 21 of 33 passes for 377 yards, three touchdowns and one interception.

Fantasy Analysis

Aside from the 66-yard score to Sproles, Rivers hit Chris Chambers with a 48-yard score in the second quarter and then again with a 15-yard touchdown in the third. Rivers has done well in the first two games with six touchdown passes to one interception. He has managed 20-plus touchdowns for two straight seasons and looks well on his way to a third straight campaign. Consider him a No. 1 Fantasy QB heading into Week 3 against the Jets.

Advice

Rivers doesn't have great wide receivers, but he's shown he can still throw the ball effectively. If LaDainian Tomlinson is healthy, though, Rivers probably won't put up huge stats each week.
