Gamer's Hell
The hardcore puzzler might find The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes a bit elementary...yes, I went there. But a casual gamer and certainly a younger sleuth will have a lot of fun with this game.

These games are enjoyable, but more for light, casual fun than an exercise in deep thinking. The interface is easy to navigate and the gameplay easy to understand.

A thoroughly enjoyable game that's made distinctive by the excellent use of graphics, sound and writing to immerse you into the world of Sherlock Holmes.

Total PC Gaming
Simple, but fun. It's a decent game that needs more depth. [Issue#9, p.60]

To be frank, we found the whole set up to be utterly bizarre. The simplicity of the puzzles and the interface coupled with the almost embarrassingly slender storylines mean that this might suit an undemanding ten year old if you’d rather them play something that didn’t involve machine-gunning Nazis.
