Game Chronicles

The game mechanics haven’t changed from the previous game, but the added Bake mode and all the added upgrades make this title even better than the original game.

It’s nothing mind-blowing, and it’s almost identical to the original, but Cake Mania 2 is still a fun way to kill some time with your DS.

There's not much depth, and it gets old pretty fast. Still, the gameplay is solid, especially for the casual crowd. [July 2008, p.89]

Minor improvements make Cake Mania 2 better than the original, but the difference is negligible. Lacking depth and issues with the touch controls make this casual treat a relatively tasteless affair.

The DS version is cramped and clunky though, making the game a little frustrating. Plus, this sequel is really more of an expansion pack, since it's basically the same thing as last time.

It's just not worth the money and you don't miss much.

Not enough space on the screen to see the whole kitchen so you cant see when ur cakes have finished topping etc also cannot switch on tv in the corner, it doesn't tell you how to so it just stays static!
