Nancy Drew: The Mystery of the Clue Bender Society |
|
The Clue Bender Society, a group consisting of the world's greatest detectives, is looking for their newest member. Teen super-sleuth Nancy Drew is among three exceptional candidates that could make the cut if she can solve a series of pre-determined challenges before the others. But when a secret tome containing the solutions to history's greatest mysteries goes missing, the Clue Bender Society's test case becomes real; they turn to Nancy and the other applicants to help recover the book before it ends up in the wrong hands. With only 24 hours to solve the case and earn membership into the Society, Nancy Drew will have to be at the top of her game. [Majesco]

This game is not the worst game that I have every played. However, it’s a pretty average type of game and is very short, too. For the price, it isn’t a good choice for kids, as there isn’t much replay value despite the mini-games.

The elements of a charming Nancy Drew tale are here, but the game is far too short and too problematic to be recommendable.

Cheat Code Central
I found myself extremely bored by the oversimplified gameplay and poor technical aspects.

As a game, Nancy Drew on the DS is a train wreck. The real puzzle here is how this game got this far with nobody bothering to put in any real gameplay.

We realize that Mystery of the Clue Bender Society is made for younger players, but most kids today are computer literate at increasingly younger ages. Don't insult them with a gift of self-solving puzzles and the overall poor reincarnation of a literature legend.
