While portable fighters haven’t had the best of luck in the past, the combination of a simple, yet solid game play engine and scores of popular and recognizable characters (if you deal with anything Japanese on a semi-regular basis, you’ll know at least a dozen characters) make Jump Superstars easily the best portable fighter out there.
