the course of any battle in that they supply the firepower and precision
that did not exist even 60 years ago. Munitions in today's armies
have the ability to strike a target hundred of miles away with the
precision unheard of in the days of World War II carpet bombing campaigns.
The munitions of today have campletely changed the face of the modern
battlefield, and have served to take the risk away from the soldiers
that otherwise might have had to assault on foot in close-quarters
combat.
