New trains
New trains HSA has ordered sixteen new high-speed trains from the Italian manufacturer AnsaldoBreda. The Belgian NMBS has ordered three identical trains. The trains have been designed by the prestigious design bureau of Pininfarina. They have an attractive layout and fit the image that the passenger has of modern and fast train transport perfectly. The first test rides will take place during 2007.

Renovated Thalys
The existing Thalys trains are being given a complete make-over. Everything is being modernised, from the interior to the installation of a completely new safety system. The renovated Thalys will make its debut around the time of the start of the high-speed train in 2007.
