AFLPA President Peter Bell is pleased to announce that long standing Adelaide Crow's AFLPA delegate Brett Burton has been appointed to fill a casual vacancy on the AFLPA Executive.
Nigel Smart's recent resignation from the AFLPA Executive created the vacancy on the Association's decision-making body.
Today's meeting of the AFLPA Executive ratified Burton's move onto the Association's Executive.
AFLPA President Peter Bell said, "Nigel's contribution to the AFLPA first as a delegate and then Executive member was second to none. Nigel's passion and commitment to player welfare has made him a most valuable member of the Association."
Brett Burton has been an AFLPA delegate since 2001.
"Brett has been a model AFLPA delegate for some time. I look forward to Brett continuing to make an outstanding contribution to the Association in his new role as an Executive member." Bell said.
