Mounts are a much sought after form of transportation in which players ride atop the backs of various Bind on Pickup creatures (or machines for gnomes and engineers). Warlocks and paladins can summon their mounts with special spells. Mounted travel is faster than walking, and the Burning Crusade expansion introduced both new mounts and flying mounts.

24th May 2008 – SK Gaming downs Kil'jaeden!
- The last boss of the Sunwell Plateau and the Burning Crusade expansion has been killed by SK Gaming.
20th May 2008 – Death knight info and gameplay introduction!
- New information has been released pertaining to the death knight hero class on the official Wrath of the Lich King site. That information can be found here. In addition, there is now clear-cut information pertaining to the mechanics of dungeons and raids, as well as questing in Northrend. Details are available here.
16th May 2008 – Death and Taxes disband
- Some sad news for anyone who's been around since the start of WoW, as this guild name will surely ring a bell; Top US raiding guild, Death and Taxes has disbanded. Read more at WorldofWar.net
13th May 2008 – Patch 2.4.2 is live!
- Patch 2.4.2 is live in the US today, tomorrow in the EU. See the patch notes and undocumented changes.
