Q: Why did Khandi Alexander leave CSI Miami? I watched last week's episode and was so surprised to see her say good-bye. What's the scoop? Was she fired? Does she have another show? A: First time visiting Ausholand, Gwen? You here on a temporary visa? In any event, welcome! If there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, please let me know. read more

Q: I take exception to this "No one with an IQ will watch CSI: Miami" stuff! I love Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Bones, Lost, The Office and many other "high-brow" shows that cater to those of us who actually graduated with a college degree and enjoy good writing and acting. But seriously, can't you sit back and enjoy CSI: Miami? Strictly from an enjoyment point of view, this is one of the most hilariously entertaining shows of all time. I started watching six years ago when I first heard of the ... read more
  • Exclusive: Khandi Alexander Departs CSI: Miami | Ausiello Report | 4/18/2008
OK, now this is getting downright ridonkulous. For the third time this week, I'm bringing you exclusive news about yet another cast shake-up at a hit procedural. This time 'round, the show in question is CSI: Miami and the departing thesp is Khandi Alexander. Although CBS declined to comment, a Miami insider confirms that Alexander — who has played medical examiner Alexx Woods since day one — is leaving at the end of the season. What's the story behind this exit? I'm not 100 percent certain, but, from what I gather, it wasn't one of those mutual deals we've been hearing about so much lately. Let's just say Alexander had some, um, issues with a certain aspect of the show and leave it at that, K?Meanwhile, Miami's on the prowl for a new medical examiner to succeed Alexander, and word on the street is the newbie will have male genitalia. Sad to see Alexander go? Yes? No? Pick one and, please, elaborate away in the comment section. And if you have any predictions/leads on... read more
  • CSI: Innsbruck? Caruso Stalker Wanted in Austria | Today's News: Our Take | 4/16/2008
Forensics are definitely needed in Innsbruck, Austria, to find a woman who failed to appear in court on charges that she has been stalking CSI: Miami star David Caruso. According to authorities, the 41-year-old suspect, from Tyrol, Austria, has sent more than 100 letters to Caruso, including death threats when he allegedly refused to sign an autograph. The threat read, in part, "I will locate you and your ugly Latina tramp and kill you." It has not been determined who the "tramp" in question might be, but it could be referring to Alana De La Garza, who played Caruso's CSI wife until the character was killed off.The suspect's absence in court Wednesday was not the first time she's gone MIA; she also did not show up for a July 2007 court date. A court-appointed psychiatrist testified that the stalker has been diagnosed with a "profound personality disorder." Local media, meanwhile, are milking the show's title for case coverage, dubbing the woman-hunt "CSI: Innsbruck." Think this... read more
