This intriguing, suspenseful adaptation of Michael Crichton's bestseller is somewhat hampered by a slightly dull cast, but the final sequence will leave you gasping. A research satellite carrying an alien virus crashes into a small Arizona town, the bug killing nearly all of the inhabitants.
