Top 50 Hottest Game Babes on Trial

#7 Samus Aran (Metroid)

The Empire Strikes Back taught us many things, chief among them that bounty hunters are a very unattractive lot of robots and monsters. With that said, Nintendo's Samus Aran is a refreshing change of pace, a tough, no nonsense warrior that isn't afraid to remove her famous orange and yellow power suit and let her hair down, especially to reveal her skin tight clothing.

i have to say, yes the girls are a little too reveling..BUT...thats what parents are for, there have been plenty of times i have told my boys(ages 7 &10) that they cannot rent a game because of its contents. i think as long as the games are rated for us parents or for whoever plays games...then make them however ...i dont see the big deal. its no diffrent than watching what your child or even your self watched on tv or when a movie is rented..if you dont like the ratings, and its contents....dont get it ..its just that simple..if your offended by a games contents...why complain about it...just pass it by...get something else!! its really not that big a deal!

peach, I have no clue, maybe because shes a classic. I don't want video games banned for the life of me. lol . I think I would cry blood. The gameplay and story line hsould bethe reason one plays the video game, but there are a few perks for people here and there a suppose. Some people being the idiots they are objectify women because of the video games they play, and again they are idiots who do not know the difference between the VG world and the real one.

They make the women in this game like that because they know what the consumer wants to buy, just b/c these games have beautiful women, doesn't mean that the stereotype never existed in the first place. We need to stop trying to not hurt anyone's feelings and do what we want. We've become too obsessed with being Politically correct and not making anyone feel bad, and now its starting to invade peoples art. Yes, video games are art. You can't tell anyone what to put into that game, that's the first ammendment of the consitution, since you have the right to choose to play the game, they can put whatever they want in it, as long as its rated appropriately.

Oh I forgot to mention,in the industries defense, a lot of these really good looking characters aren't just a pretty face, they kick ass and are smart as hell. They actually have depth. Laura Croft, Rachel from Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Paine, Lulu, Yuffi, Tifa, and Ivy are just a few I can name off the top of my head. They just happen to look amazing on top of it. and there is that little problem of setting a standard of unrealistic beauty, but knowing the difference between reality and fantasy hopefully (but sadly often does not) take care of that problem.

Its bad enough we have too see ugly fat people wearing tight cloths at the mall...if they don't like being ugly...then diet, exercise, eat right, drink water...then they will not despise the great looking fantasy babes!!!....

potatowave, that's because most males are still threatened by strong, smart, capable women. Making them look like skanky ho's makes them less threatening, even if they can kill you just by looking at you :D

I am a female gamer. It is true that sex sells but alt least have some variety please -_-. bring back some characters that are not always perfect. It takes months to design these characters and careful planning again true, but put back some characters with some flaws along with the girls with smoking bodies. And as for parents who complain about violent video games, quit ragging on the games themselves and take responsibility and PAY ATTENTION to what your kids are playing and READ the maturity levels. The ESRB puts them there for a reason.Don't take away artistic genius and freedom to express such genius in the video game world, just control the offspring. get them to do something like oh i don't know READ A BOOK!! Literacy levels are at an all time low (and i read quite often myself so I know and have seen the statisitcs)

And, GameDaily is only contributing to this problem by trivializing and even supporting it, by going "whoa, look, breasts!" and making lists of the most attractive female characters, as though it's perfectly acceptable. It's demeaning both to females and to gamers.
