FIFA's administration is carried out by the General Secretariat, which employs some 280 staff members at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland.

Frenchman Jerome Valcke, formerly FIFA's Director of Marketing & TV was appointed as General Secretary by the FIFA Executive Committee on 27 June 2007.
