All eyes are on Shikaripura of Shimoga district where political heavyweights S Bangarappa and B S Yeddyurappa have locked horns...

Campaigning for the second phase of elections in 66 assembly constituencies spread across 10 districts of the State concluded at 5 pm on Wednesday.

As many as 590 candidates including 218 independents, are in the fray in the 66 constituencies.

Over 1.10 crore voters of Raichur, Koppal, Uttara Kannada, Bellary, Chitradurga, Davangere, Shimoga, Udupi, Chikmagalur and Dakshina Kannada districts will exercise their franchise in the second phase of assembly elections scheduled on Friday.

All eyes are on Shikaripura of Shimoga district where political heavyweights S Bangarappa and B S Yeddyurappa have locked horns. The polling process in 47 booths of Shikaripura will be videographed.

Karnataka voters are having a high sense of self respect and social responsibility.Their abiding passion is to make Karnataka regain the glory that is past.So let cosidertions like the welfare of its people and the ir bright futre only guide them to exercise their franchise usefully.
