DATAllegro v3 MRA products provide high performance and the ability to scale out your data warehouse from 15 terabytes to one petabyte without forklift upgrades. Multiple data racks combine with a single control rack to scale out data capacity as needed. Data racks come in either a 15-30 terabyte capacity (MRA1530) or a 25-50 terabyte capacity (MRA2550). Each rack is priced based on the smallest capacity with the option of adding capacity as it is needed up to the maximum. In addition, data racks can be upgraded to include DATAllegro's new grid-enabled technology to allow companies to leverage a hub-and-spoke or multi-temperature architecture, as well as disaster recovery.

A data warehouse appliance is an integrated set of data storage, database, compute servers and O/S, each of which is pre-configured and pre-tuned for the rigors of data warehousing. DATAllegro v3 is a second-generation appliance that uses leading, standards-based technologies along with DATAllegro's patent-pending software to provide enterprise-class reliability. EMC storage devices, standard Dell servers and Cisco InfiniBand interconnect combine together in DATAllegro's RAIDW™ (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Data Warehouses) architecture. With enterprise-class reliability and no single point of failure, DATAllegro v3 provides an architecture for high availability from SQL to storage.

MAXIMIZE THE POWER OF YOUR HARDWARE
With DATAllegro RAIDW servers or nodes execute queries in parallel independently of each other. A patented parallel database design called Ultra Shared Nothing (USN)™ distributes data across all nodes in the appliance. USN limits data movement and ensures queries are resolved locally on each node for high performance. Multi-level partitioning further reduces the amount of data scanned during query processing. As a result, DATAllegro v3 can scan data at up to 10.5TB/minute.

PROCESS DATA AT QUAD CORE SPEED
DATAllegro's Direct Data Streaming™ technology streams data from EMC storage devices and processes the data using Intel® Xeon® Quad-Core processors. Each core in the processor reads data in parallel. The architecture allows DATAllegro to ride the multi-core processor wave for continual performance improvements.
