Rocket Race is best played on a big vehicle map. So, of course, Sandtrap is ideal for this purpose. However, that's not to say it couldn't use a few tweaks to get it just right.

WTF? howd u guys get that one checkpoint in mid-air? please, i implore u, teach me this knowledge of free-floting objects. imagine the worlds i could shape with the abbilty to freeze objects in mid-air: an entire map that looks like its been frozen in time! warthogs that look like their about to bail, weapons that spilled out of a crate floating in the air, crate motionlessly flying through the air after an explosion. so please, teach me this technique.

The only way ive been able to do it was have 1 person spawn the checkpoint and hold it mid air, then have a 2nd person spawn a crate right under it and hold it there, drop the checkpoint on it so it lays flat then have the other person delete the crate while still holding it.

Thats how I figured that problem out. I did the same thing when I put together my own version of Rocket Race on Snowbound. Go to my fileshare and download it and let me know what you guys think either on here or by IMing me on my gamer profile. Later pplz.

fun game type...
but the only problem is that your pictures are stageded... they were done in forge to make floating items and stuff... and thats not so cool....... mine were all in game slayer stuff... check them out... i have one where i flipped a -blam!-ing elepahnt.

Played this tonight with a load of peeps from my group, the game is absolutley awesome !!! just remember its a race and not a slayer match ( unless your fighting for a mongoose lmao).

im not sure but i think u can do it on forge by putting the check point on a transporter and then deleting the transporter

Redrum: you need to pick this map, than also pick the Rocket Race gametype VARIANT to go along with it. Than when you are in the c ustom games pre-game lobby everyone partners up and picks a color to share and than you go off and race to each VIP checkpoint. Great fun, I like the valhalla map a little better but this one was pretty darn fun. Gotta have at least 10 people for like 5 teams of 2 to have some fun. the more, the merrier of course
