Welcome to the Bungie.net forums!
First off, the entire site is governed by the Code of Conduct and the Terms of Use. Be sure to read them and abide by them at all costs.
<The Rules>
* Spamming should not even be contemplated!
* Do not reply to spam in anyway shape or form. Regardless of what response you leave you will be blacklisted! Do not respond with “lol locked” “forum cops r comin!” or anything of that nature. This is your only warning.
* Do not link to inappropriate websites. This includes, but is not limited to, sites containing adult content,information on any type of software piracy or shock sites. This will get you permanently banned.
* Impersonating forum moderators and/or bungie employees is strictly prohibited. Do not break this rule. You will be permanently banned. Also, do not “forum cop”!
* No political or religious discussion of any kind will be tolerated on the forums. These kinds of conversations almost always devolve into insult contests. Use groups like Body Politic or The Black Chapter for such topics if you wish to discuss them.
* Xbox hacking/modding discussions will not be permitted on any of the Bungie.net forums.
* Do not ask for trial cards for Xbox Live.
* Do not feed the trolls.
* Don't bypass the -blam!- filter (that is the profanity filter for those who have not seen it in action).
* No quote pyramids (That's five or more posts quoted).
* No petitions.
* Do not link to ‘brain stealing’ text games or any other text games of any sort. If you have such a link put it in your signature, remove them.
* Do not advertise your screen shots, gallery or movies.
* Do not Flame each other! Use your manners and common sense. If you disagree with someone, do so gracefully. Additionally do not link to websites such as youfail.org or any other website pertaining to it in identical nature. It will be treated like spam and dealt with accordingly.
* Bumping is illegal. Breaking this law has high consequences. Such as but not limited to: assignation by ninja, hippo licking, and/or complete forum thread annihilation. Or we will most likely just lock your topic. Don't bump! (This especially applies to Halo 3 Files Forums.)
* Advertisements for your Group, Clan, or Tournament are to be posted in The Classifieds only. Posting an advertisement anywhere else will receive immediate ninja attention.
* Noob, Newbie, N00b, and any other variants on the word newb are hereby banned from use on this forum as is the "gamer slur of the week" (currently the "bad kid" alterations would qualify). Any user who violates this rule will be put to death. These are insults and are a form of personal attack. It is not "playful trash talking", save it for your LAN party where the target of the slur at least has the ability to kick you in the nuts.
* Don't use the forums as a means of communicating with a specific person. That is what Private Messages are for.
* No bad jokes. (We mean it!)
* Do not "break" the page width or forum formating by repeating or special characters.
* Do not post in all Capital letters. Additionally do not post in “leet” speak or with special characters/symbols.
* You have no rights. Play nice.™

* Use a spell checker to check your posts for misspellings. There's no point in making a forum topic if we can't understand it because of multiple spelling errors.
* Don't use stupid abbreviations. (Example: Your = ur, You = u, Are = r, I = EYE, one = 1)

* Always check the stickies, they contain useful information and can likely answer most questions.

Halo 3 Forum
For general discussion about Bungie's blockbuster hit and stunning conclusion to the Halo series!
Halo 2 Forum (aka: New Mombasa)
New Mombasa is the official Halo 2 discussion forum. Come to sunny New Mombasa and revel in the Halo 2 chat, multiplayer and singleplayer! Skulls given at the door!
Optimatch
Optimatch is for Xbox Live playlist discussion. Want your favorite gametype to be ranked, but it just ain't happening? Post about it here! Want a map removed from a playlist? Voilà! Your actual mileage may vary.
Halo 1 Xbox (aka: The Library)
The Library, aside from being the COOLEST level in Halo, is the name of the Halo Xbox forum. Jenkins vs Johnson? Grunt vs Jackal? Duke vs S? This is the place to discuss it.
Bungie General Forum (aka: The Underground)
The Underground is for discuission about World Domination, Bungie lore, and previous games. Please note this is not specifically a Halo forum! Some Halo topics are acceptable such as the Halo movie and the Halo novel series.
Halo PC (aka: The Maw)
The Maw is the Halo PC/Mac and Halo 2 Vista dedicated forum. Looking for a good server? Need technical assistance? Or perhaps you'd just like to brag about the Banshee you shot down with a rocket hog while playing Infinity. This is the place for it.
Bungie Community Forum (aka: The Septagon)
Originally a Seventh Column help forum, the Septagon has grown to become a general Bungie.Net support forum. Please bring Bungie.Net related questions, comments, and conversation here.
The Gallery
Once a week (Tau Ceti time), Sawnose or Sketch brings a new image to the Gallery. Once the image is posted, it's up to you guys to reply with the funniest caption you can come up with! The winner is added to a hall of fame thread. -currently inactive-
The News
Any new B.Net article gets its own post in the news. There, you can respond directly new the latest Bungie stories.
Voting Booth
Frequenters of the last Bungie.Net may recall Bungie having their own polls from time to time. While at first, this feature was gone from the new B.Net, Bungie has brought it back in the form of a dedicated forum! Check here regularly for new polls being held by Bungie employees. -currently inactive-
The Classifieds
Got the best Seventh Column chapter in the world? Want to let everyone know that they should join it? Put an ad in the Classifieds to advertise your clan, tournament or group!
The Flood
For those that want to talk, but have nothing Bungie related to talk about, Bungie feels your pain. As such, they've created a forum just for you! The Flood is the official off-topic forum of Bungie.net, disengage brain ye who enter here!
