[ Das Offizielle Magazin #49 ] [ Das Offizielle Magazin #49 ]
Available now in Germany is the latest issue of Star Wars Das Offizielle Magazin, the official magazine of the German Star Wars Fan Club.

Continuing the celebration of the Star Wars 30th anniversary, the magazine features the article "Krieg Der Sterne" that highlights the saga during the '80s in Germany -- including information on a dancing Luke in a one-of-a-kind Star Wars ballet.

Read interviews with actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and others from the Original Trilogy about their Star Wars memories. Sound Designer Ben Burtt, who has voiced droids, made Wookiees roar, and put the breath into Darth Vader, talks about his work on the classic films.

Costume Designer John Mollo chats about the daunting task of clothing an entire galaxy, while Roger Christian, a filmmaker in his own right, has been an active presence in that galaxy far, far away for over 30 years.

Gamers can get the latest Force Unleashed news with a special interview with LucasArts Project Leader Haden Blackman and actor Sam Witwer. Don't miss part two of the exclusive story "Hero of Cartao - Episode II: Hero's Rise" by Timothy Zahn, as well as Part 4 of the "Pirates of the Storyboards."

Fan Club members get some added content in the supplemental Journal of the Whills, which includes an extensive feature on Star Wars fashion that explains what Queen Amidala and Chakha women have in common. In "Holiday on Hoth," fans take a trip to Norway detailed with fun facts and beautiful photos.

Be sure to also check out posters, letters from readers, and fan art, as well as the latest book, comic and game news.

Issue #49 is already on its way to subscribers and on German newsstands. For more information about the German Fan Club, click here.
