Luxembourg City may not be the first place you think of when you want to drop some hard-earned cash. A tiny landlocked country in Western Europe, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as it is otherwise known, is bordered by Belgium, France and Germany and is populated by less than half a million people.
With the average person in Luxembourg earning nearly twice as much money as the average American, and a flourishing financial center with over hundreds of major banks, it’s not hard to see why the world’s biggest spenders are coming to Luxembourg in their well-heeled droves.

Day 1: Lux shopping
Jet in to Luxembourg-Findel International Airport on Lux Airlines and take the best limo for hire from Colux six miles into Luxembourg City. Snap up something for your mother’s windowsill, like $300-worth of select pieces from the super-expensive New Wave table collection, and hop back into your limo.
