Are you passionate about cars and racing? Then, Forza Motorsport is your game. Own, customize, and race your favorite cars in the most technologically advanced and realistic driving sim yet. Use race earnings to buy upgrades and aftermarket parts, so you can transform real production cars into high-performance racers. On the track, experience an impressively accurate simulation, while putting your performance-tuned creations to the test against the online gaming world on Xbox Live. Train your own A.I. "Drivatars" to use the same racing techniques you do, so they can race for you in competitions or train new drivers on your team. Forza's handling is impeccable. Many car sims have done an adequate job of providing an impression of the forces exerted on a car as it hurtles around a track, but in Forza it's as though you can feel the exact point where your tires lose traction.

Stuff
If your racing game strategy usually involves driving your car like the Death Mobile in "Animal House," you won't get far in Forza. Damage modeling affects your car's performance and even the slightest fender-bender can wreck your front-end alignment, which means your car will pull either left or right for the remainder of the race.

Unfortunately, when the game is outclassed by its rivals, it feels rather bland. The career mode may rival that of Gran Turismo 4 in the anal depths it descends to, but seems to lack the love and attention (for instance, the wrong cars competing in the wrong championships) of the Polyphony Digital classic.

And, man, is this game difficult, even on the easy setting. I prefer games with unreal speed, power boosts and shortcuts. The problem with Forza is, however, that this is a game that feels somewhat empty. Your victories aren’t celebrated and are barely acknowledged. Tuning up a car is so easy that is barely feels rewarding to feel it going at top speed.

Ryan G. gave it a10:

C MR gave it a9:
This game is definately the best track racing game I have ever played. And I have played the majority of the racers for PS2 and XBox. I found it amazing but also found that it lacked in one area that would make it almost perfect. It's too constricting, your stuck with racing on the same tracks over and over and it leaves no room for liberty.

Mice gave it a10:
The best out there! I played GT4 after I played the Forza, and in GT4, when you drive a 1000hp Supra, it feels the same as in the Forza you would be driving a stock Mazda Miata/Mx5! And the graphics.... I dont know what GT4 some of you have been playing but the one I saw was so much crappier than Forza!..... I understand that you are pissed because Forza got a better score than Gt4, but dont come here to cry, cry with all the rest gt4 fans.... Second. Those who say this game sucks and advices you to buy either a need for speed or burnout dont know how to play this game.... this game isnt as easy as need for speed (where you can drive without touching the brakes) and burnout.

Bloodforge gave it a10:
Best GT racing game ever. The low score baffles me. I was really dissapointed in what GT4 turned out to be, the same old game we have had for years and only held my attention for a week or two, but Forza really added stuff that was sorely need and put some life back into the genre. This does all the things that GT4 should have done: damage, a car class system, leveling system, online racing and actually having to work through races to unlock some of the best cars. I really love this game and still play it, only Forza 2 will get me to stop playing.

[Anonymous] gave it a10:
