PSX Nation
Although riddled with enough flaws to keep the casual gamer at bay, "Gundam Battle Assault" isn't so terrible that it alienates even the hardcore supporters willing to overlook its problems.

Daily Radar
Melodramatic dialogues precede and follow each fight, and they're handled with the same mildly illiterate aplomb as most anime translations -- meaning that they're longwinded, heavyhanded and occasionally unintelligible to all but the most diehard of fans, which is just how we like 'em.

Justin W. gave it a 7:
I saw two major flaws in this game-Heero Yuy as the main character in the American version (Heero in the Universal Century?) and the somewhat odd character balancing (Zakus being so strong while the original Gundam is horrible)
