Mario Kart Wii takes a giant step forward with new karts, bikes, tracks, and tons of options for both controllers and online play, but did Nintendo oversimplify the driving mechanics?

it's simplified... ok, first if nintendo does not open the doors they say nintendo should open the doors, if nintendo simplifies to make everybody happy it makes them sceptical........ right GT.

indeed pullin out all the games in 1 go is gonna put a strain on future releases but nintendo r nintendo, they'll find a way 2 do something amazing

i believe they still have some hits to give. hidden hits. don't forget fox and the promissed zelda wii. also, i do believe some big companies (like capcom, square, etc) may have some tricks that nintendo makes some pressure to be hidden until late 2008 and 2009

Game-D said: Why is the Wii doing this?! I don't mean I'm not curious to the game, but... Nintendo brings us to many games in so short time. Super Paper Mario, than Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, than Super Mario Galaxy, than Zack & Wiki (in Europe), than No More Heroes, than (off course) Super Smash Bros Brawl and now Mario Kart Wii! It's great that the Wii has a lot of games now, but what about next year? They almost made a game on the Wii of al the Mario genres! I think only Mario Golf and Mario Tennis, and then its over?! We'll see, we'll see....

Not necessary, Nintendo has more experience than any of the other company (Try to date it all the way back to Jump Man) and still manage to stay in business even today, more surprising fact is that Nintendo is actually the top video game company as of this moment right now unlike most of other companies who has to toss in the towel.

With that kind of experience, Nintendo knows what its doing and definately knows what kind of game to release according to right schedule. It would seem however that this year Nintendo is throwing all the top games ahead (Brawl and Mario Kart Wii) in the same year, which is really puzzling me, too.
But think it in the possible way it might mean that Nintendo has better game to provide for the Wii in the future or possibly toward the end of Wii's life before next console comes out.

Plus, Nintendo can really learn from its defeat (Sony: Playstation, Playstation 2) and put a lot of effort to make its comeback with the Wii; whereas, Sony just lost its place and got kick all the way to the back with Playstation 3 since it got cocky (There is more reasons, and majorly because it didn't live up to a lot of people's expectation, which one of us didn't thought PS3 would own the console war again?)
Nintendo fixed up the Wii (just like all the other consoles they made: NES, SNES, N64, Game Cube, each with major changes when in terms of controllers and games), make it a complete different console and way more unique than anyone would've done, and actually make it right and made sure it works.

Nintendo made sure all of that, so I don't see how they will mess up on such a silly problem with how to release the games and when is the best time. That was always taking care of since they actually have the power to do so. Plus, Nintendo has been making new characters (Elite Beat Agents) that will have their own significance like Mario, Samus, Link, etc. and will be consider classic possibly in the future

So don't worry about it and just enjoy the games you get right now, I for one am really enjoying this the fact that I have Super Smash Bros Brawl and will have Mario Kart Wii as soon as it comes out.
