A Bulgarian Music Idol contestant has unintentionally thrust a butchered version of a Mariah Carey song into the online video hall of shame.
The wanna-be singer attempts to sing one of Carey's most famous songs, "I can't live (if living is without you)".
But her lack of English prowess morphs the song into a bizarre, nonsensical ballad about a man called Ken Lee.
After taking the stage she announces to the judges: "I'm going to sing Mariah Carey's song Ken Lee."
"Ken Lee… tulibu dibu douchoo," she sings.
"Ken lee meju more."
The actual lyrics to Mariah Carey's famous song are:
"I can't live… If living is without you."
"I can't live… I can't give anymore."
The video was at one point the second-most-popular video on the web, according to Viral Video Chart, and comments from entertained and amused viewers have filled blog sites.
"She’s so self-assured at first I thought she sang it in Roma," one blogger said.
"One can only imagine what she’d do with Whitney or Celine."
Three of the judges on the Bulgarian version of American Idol appear to be in agony as they struggle to understand the words.
But host Esil Duran visibly tries to restrain herself from laughing.
At the end of the performance she asks "What was that language?"
"English," the contestant replies.
