Starting October 14th, Kelly will be an official spokesperson for the YWCA Week Without Violence and will close the week with a free concert on October 19th at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.
"We are excited to have Kelly adding her voice to our quest to empower women and bring attention to the countless women who are threatened by violence in this country and around the world." said Lorraine Cole, Ph.D., YWCA USA CEO.
The YWCA Week Without Violence is a nationwide annual campaign that highlights practical, sustainable alternatives to violence in our homes, schools, workplaces and communities. To commemorate the 2007 Week Without Violence, the YWCA USA is declaring Enough! to violence by providing comprehensive resources to millions of people around the country to help them eradicate violence from their lives.

The following evening, Tuesday July 17, Kelly sang the National Anthem before the San Diego Padres game against the New York Mets at Petco Park in San Diego, CA.

Kelly Sweet will now perform "God Bless America" during the 7th Inning Stretch of the rescheduled Game 5 of the National League Championship Series between the Mets and Cardinals on Tuesday 10/17.
