Wes Anderson's AT&T Commercials

  • Reuters: “The new initiatives are designed to highlight how AT&T helps connect people to their worlds wherever they live and work,” AT&T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson said in a statement. “We want to ensure this message is reflected in our brand.”

  • Field Notes: Notebooks/sketchbooks that Futura-buff Wes Anderson would surely approve of/use in his movies.

  • The Darjeeling Limited in theatres September 29th.

They’ve got the same sped up feel as the AmEx spots from last year.

step away from the camera dolly, wes.

i just might have to switch from sprint to cingular/at&t for this. brills!

Sooooo… where’s the professional woman who travels outside of her office or city? Thanks Wes, you big misogynist.

(I am mostly kidding.)

Those are pretty awesome, and oddly, made me like AT&iPhone a little better.

Is it wrong if everything Wes Anderson makes seems like the guy from Rushmore made it?

Also, Beck “Girl” h/t Wes, or Wes h/t Beck “Girl”?

i’d like to see Wes Anderson’s version of OJ’s weekend.

“What we need is a less-creative Michel Gondry. Or a less-creative, less-dead Murnau.”

The “punchline” and elaborate sets remind me way to much of competitor Virgin Mobile’s christmahanukwanzaakah. I think AT&T, is a day late and a dollar…okay, they are not short a dollar as Wes Anderson can’t come cheap.
